On the outside, my stabilizer shows all around the edge. How can I get around this and still make quilt blocks?

Thank you for helping a beginner:)

Use a water soluble stabilizer that will melt away when you get it wet. Solvy is really good. Make sure to use two sheets. Hoop the solvy first then lay in regular stabilizer in the center. This is what I do.

This link didn't work and I am not sure what you mean - can you take a picture - maybe from that - we can see it clearer.

Hopefully this link works. It is called a double chevron edge on the very outside of the design. I am used to working with satin stitches but this fancy chevron kind of looks lacy and I could not possibly trim all those crevices of stabilizer away.
