Hi, new to thee site, have problem with brother2002d the presser foot won't stay up unless I hold it with my hand. What can I do short of taking it in???

89895Hello. I have the Babylock Ellageo (basically the same machine) and my pressor foot won't stay up all the time. When I took it in for repair, I was told I needed a new circuit board -- lots of money! I keep lifting the lever using different angles until it stays long enough to finish what I am doing. Sorry the news isn't any better. Hugs.
