I bought the snap hoop a few weeks ago..I tried putting a label on a quilt, hooped it all up, when the machine centered, the hoop slipped and I stopped it immediately...went on the hoop some organza and stabilzer to do some paperdoll clothes, hoop would not hold the organza, it slipped every which way. I called the source, they sent me to design magazine that carries the customer service. Very nice rep, advised me not made to do heavy duty like towels or quilt, because of the "pull" on the hoop. Probably won't work for organza, as it is slippery, really was designed to do quilt blocks and simple cottons. Hmmm, very limiting! Not sure I will keep it. Very disappointed! Linda
I really wanted one and then they did not make it for my machine like they originally said - but may get a new machine where it would work and nice to get some actual user feedback. Thanks.
Thanks Suzanne and alexgrandma. I hate wasting money, but I am so disappointed. I was really hoping to get something that's easier to hoop than the hoops that came with my HV Designer SE. Does anyone have any recommendations? Gigi
I have the magna hoop and I never use it. The area to stitch are to small. So, it just sits.
I bought magna hoop and was not happy with it. It would pop every time I was in the middle of something and ruin my work. I don't know about the snap hoop it's new. Want a magna hoop cheap? Contact me. Hope that helps your decision. Suzanne
Made up my mind.
i haven't been in ME very long and now discover Bernina but it is only 50mm (max 150mm)wider (15cm longer) but there are some embroidery machines that take 350mm wide hoops. But thanks for the info on the Magna Hoop - I will definitely be buying an Original Bernina Hoop
