I used my 7X11 hoop for some monogramming of more scarves, and while I was checking the space it would use, I forgot to move my machine up to allow for the hoop to move back and it knocked up again the clamped on light (heavy duty),. When I began the stitches I didn't realize that the center was off until the last letter. I was able to take off the top of the hoop to get the rest of the letter on the scarf, but couldn't get the center back properly. Then it dawned on my maybe if I cut my machine off and let it rest a couple of minutes then see what happens... IT WORKED!!!! WHEW!!! It's back to center again. Thank the good Lord!

I have a Brother Innovis 1500D and I did the same thing a few months ago - it was a feeling of panic. I shut mine off too and everything recentered! Gosh, I now "second check" to make sure I have plenty of space for the hoop to move!!! I know the feeling!!*

Once I didn't allow enough room behind the hoop and it was slamming into the wall really hard! I thought that the hoop was going to break or mess up my machine. I panicked and couldn't find the stop button fast enough!!! Very Scary Momment!
Glad to hear everything worked out alright for you.

I've done that too, and for some reason also panicked and couldn't shut it off-scary!
