several of the International coffee tins. I already have one for pins, another couple for quilting pins. Any ideas of how to decorate and use them for other things would be appreciated. I hate throwing them out. Thanks

make a pincushion on the lid and store safety pins inside or extra straight pins.
Buttons? snaps? empty bobbins? pennies? beads? M&Ms???LOL
Use next to your kitchen sink for sponge, steel wool and old toothbrush for cleaning
poke holes in a pattern and add a votive or tea light (may want to paint first)
That's all I can think of off hand.

You are so creative. The containers I have are smaller, without handles, but your pictures are making me think of pretty vases, containers. You have me thinking now. Thanks

At one time or another I've made small floral kitchen arrangement using these tins. Don't have to paint as I like them as they are just put the plastic top on the bottom so if bottoms get wet... no rust. All you need to do is use putty or foam to secure your flowers in along with a little hot glue and they'll last forever.

Great idea. I have space between the cabinets and ceilings with fake ivy. These could be interesting. Hmm, 3D flowers in them. Thanks

Hi Karen nice to see you are back on cute! I cover mine with that sticky contact paper. It comes in all different patterns. You can also embroider something on some thin material and use some spray glue to glue it to the tins.Or use thin cotton print to glue on the tin too. Let your imagination go wild. I covered a photo box with contact and it's in the bathroom holding my brushes, combs, and talc. Didn't know if you saw it or not. Have fun !! Suzanne

I confess, I was so interested in the embroidered towels, I never looked beyond them. Neat idea for things like that in a bathroom. Thanks

I spray pant the bottoms and glue batting and fabric to the tops of them, then trim with ribbon or lace.. I use them to give small presents.

They comtain flavored coffees like vanilla cafe and suisse mocha, etc. They are in the coffee section at markets and have a plastic cover. My husband makes me laugh because he calls them fou-fou coffee

Welcome back dear. I have some tins that I wanted to decorate, too - hope someone comes up with something - so we both can figure out what to do with them - I thought perhaps fabric or lace around the outside and some how doing a pin cushion on top - but not sure how to do it. *4U

Thank you for the e-card. I am hoping for some good ideas and directions. I just hate throwing them away when I know there has to be ways to use them.
