When I down load the design (#272 pattern), it will not finish. It states that the card is empty.

This has happened to another pattern. What am I doing wrong.

I'm not sure the path you took to save the design to the card/disk. You normally can not do a "save as". Click on accessories to get a drop down window. Select/click on Disk Manager. Pull your design/s into the screen. On the top bar click on the icon "Write to card/disk". You may also be using the wrong pathway/process on the machine to access the designs from the card. That is a bit different depending upon the model of sewing machine. If you have a good dealer they may be able to talk you through it over the phone. Good Luck!

Sylvia, I still have 3D but the process is more or less the same. Can you really write to your card from 4D Organizer? I think you have to go through the Reader/writer program unit to do that. Does that work with other embroidery files? Can you check with the manual? I hope you can sort it out!

Sylvia, since you say that there is one other pattern that has not stitched out for you, did you also download it from the internet? I've found that on occasion, a file will get corrupted in the download. It has nothing to do with the file or the web site because I've gone back and transferred the file and been able to stitch it out just fine the second time. You might try "testing" other designs. Your problem might be in the file transfer software to your card which you may have to re-install, your card, or even the quality of the downloaded file. Hope that helps

Sylvia, now that you have told us you use Husqvarna & 4D, maybe you can get more help. I know several people in the community use Husqvarna. I have a Janome, but my guess is that you need to format the card. I download my designs to my computer, then my Digitizer Pro (which is like your 4D) puts them on the card. If the card isn't formatted, it won't accept any designs. Are you having problems with just this one design, or all of them you try to put on the card? I have to put designs on the card thru the software, because it puts other files on the card that my sewing machine needs to read the designs properly. Good luck to you, maybe somebody more familiar with 4D can give you a better answer. Marji

Sylvia, if it tells you that the card is empty it usually means that it can't read the card, either because it needs formatting, or because it has encountered a problem with reading it. Don't know if I'm reading your question correctly, but it sounds like you are downloading directly from *Cute* to your card. If so, then try saving the design directly to your computer hard-drive, and see if it will then transfer to your card. Hope you get it all worked out, a flower for you and have a beautiful day.

I don't know for sure, but it sounds like a software problem to me. I have had that happen with my Magic Box a time or two. I had to reinstall the software to make it work right. What type of card writer do you use? You might be able to get more assistance if you give us more information to work from. =]

Oh, dear. I wish I could be of more assistance, but I have Brother machines, not Husqvarna. I don't even have any suggestions other than contacting your dealer. They ought to be able to figure it out for you. =] Here's a flower for you!

Sylvia, it must be the device that you are downloading to is not formatted. I don't download to cards, so I am not aware of exactly how that works, but I did successfully download pattern272. Do you have to perhaps format the card? ;)
