I have a Bernina 830 sewing machine. The Bernina dealer recommends Isacord Thread. I would like to try ordering thread from the recommended metro site. Will this thread work on my machine?

Welcome - wow a BRAND new Cutie. Bernina 830 NEW or the old mechanical sewing machine? Like WOW if you have the new one - was to be my Ultimate but funds don't allow. It's almost the price of a car here in SA. Don't know the thread you mention but my 440 uses Marathon with no problems, although I prefer a polyester embroidery thread.

Several women I know uses Metro thread and we've had no problems with it.

Every machine has its own likes and dislikes, best to buy a starter group of colors and try them. Good luck.
