I'm sure you'll do well. Am also in the choir with my "flat" voice. I lost it after Thyroid op so for 3 months no voice. Now it's back but different tone!
Is it lower? Can you retrain it? As long as you are able to sing that's good, right? Hugs, T
You'll do great and it will be a blessing to you and everyone there. We have a small choir at our church too.
Joann, it's great to know there are other small churches out there. We have only 8 in our choir, three men and 5 women, 3 soprano's and 2 altos. Instead of a contata this year, we did something a little different. We performed each Sunday with readings and children pageantry, plus the choir singing. This Sunday is solo for me and I feel the coming of a head cold. ugh.... BUT in all that, like Karen said we are singing for the LORD and not ourselves. If he is magnified then your choir will sound like a 250 ppl choir. I know you will sound that way...Blessings to you this Christmas.
Wish we had 200 people show up on Sunday to hear us! Usually 30 - 40 folks attend (including the 9-10 in choir.)
We are singing to the Lord, but I want to do the best job I can--just like the "little drummer boy".
Blessings to you this Christmas also.
You are singing to God so I am sure you will do a wonderful job. Wish I could be there to hear you sing.
Thanks--we have some really good singers in choir, I only joined this year, so I ahve some catching up to do.
