A cushion pad in a beige canvas zipped cover for £1. This is about 25p cheaper than the pad by itself. Just got to work out if I can hoop the cover without unpicking a seam......

I've just added some embroidery to one of these and posted a picture in Projects. I did have to unpick the seams to hoop the cover. I wish I had bought the whole stock!

OK - I will show my ignorance - what is a cushion pad? I don't know what we would call it here in the US.

The Bull Ring market area in Birmingham is interesting, Loughborough market Thursday and Sat is good and Nottingham market used to be brilliant but that is too far for you, there are some good fabric places in Birmingham. I will look up and let you know

Thanks Sue, again it is a shop miles from me. 2 hours I think. I am putting a list together for my next visit away. There were decent Christmas aprons in £stretcher/poundland that would have been suitable for adding embroidery too. Someone local was selling 100 cushion pads for £90. The thought of storing them was beyond me

Thank you. Good to hear about a bargain here in the UK - I think we are very under represented !!!!!
