if they are malignant or not but none have changed size, which is good. The largest is in the upper part of my right lung and is either 9 cm or 9 mm, John and I don’t remember which it was and I am terrible with the metric system anyway. She said they are all too small to do a needle biopsy and they couldn’t even be sure to hit the spot but if the largest ones grows they MIGHT be able to do a needle biopsy on it but more than likely they would need to do surgery to get to it. As is sits right now she said that all we can do is keep doing CT scans every 3 months to keep a close check on the spots. Next scan is in March and I will get the results of that on St. Patrick’s Day, exactly 1 year after my last chemo treatment. Basically this was just a waste of your reading time, sorry!

Debra, thank you for sharing this information with us. I will keep you in my prayers, and certainly think of you often. Don't worry about inconveniencing others; if someone does not have time to read, they just won't. I am sorry that you have the stress of not knowing what is happening with your body, and I wish answers were available. Perhaps you can use this time to help someone else out, who needs help. Day care centers, senior centers, homes for foster children, places for abused women and their children are all examples of places where we can reach out and help others. It will help you by getting your mind off of your own condition, and you will make friends and give much needed assistance.
I pray that God blesses you in every way and that he brings you complete healing.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Jacqueline

Debra,
It's never a waste of one's reading time to listen to a friend. From time to time, we all at some point need to just
let it out, to help relieve the tension built from jumping over the hurdles life has a way of throwing at us! From what you say, all sounds positive regarding none have changed size, blood work normal, and you are soon to the 1 year point past chemo! I take that as a very good report! Merry Christmas, dear, and may the Lord bless you in 2011 with your BEST year yet!!
Angel

Thank you Chris! I stay positive and take things one day at a time just as they happen. When my asthma doctor told me they found something and it wasn't a good something I told him let's do what we have to do, no sense crying or worrying over something we can't change so let's get on with it.

Debra, this was not a waste of reading time! I am so happy that nothing has grown. You have always had such kind words for my husband, you have been there and know what we have gone thru. God Bless and have a very Merry Christmas. You will remain in my thoughts and prayers. Carl's next cat scan is in March also, so we will continue to pray that all will be well. Carol

Well, Carl and I are on the same schedule so we can keep track of each other, lol. When the nurse set up the next appointment with the doc I told her that would be exactly one year from my last chemo treatment and she got goosebumps from that! I am considering myself cancer free! I wish you a very Merry Christmas too and hope that 2011 brings us all nothing but good news!

9 mm must be the size which is small, if its too small to do a biopsy. This is not a waste of my reading time, take care and look after yourself and keep us informed

Yes, I guess Terre let me know the difference, they are all very small. Last year I think the one they removed part of my lung with was 13mm so they are really watching this one close, every 3 months.

Praise the Lord Deb, it is probably 9mm because 9 cm is the size of a softball. I'm so glad to hear this good news. God is good. Be sure to give Him the glory. Hugs, T

Thanks for letting me know Terre, I am surprised my hubby didn't know that, he's a smart guy. So, yeah, no growth and no new ones is very good news. I just know that every time they do a CT scan they put in more radiation that can cause the problem to get worse but have to do it to keep tabs on it so it's a vicious circle. I am staying positive that I am going to be fine and live into my 80's like my Dad's family though Dad is only 74.

No wasted time here - just the Power of Prayers being answered.
I am so pleased about your news and will keep praying for you.
Look forward to the future and leave everything else in His hands... I have discovered He does a better job of it than I do anyway!
Prayers and laughs coming your way....

Thank you. When it all started happening a year and a half ago I decided that there was nothing I could do to change it so I am rolling with it and staying positive. If I need more surgery I'll do it, if I need chemo again, I'll do it.
