The frustrating thing about towels is that you can damage the pile when removing stitches, so I sure hope I get the design back in the same place to cover it up. Otherwise I am going to have to go and buy another one.

Alice, Goodness how on earth do you unpick it...must take forever! I hate reverse (undoing) embroidery .... Always seems to happen when we are in a hurry or do not have another one! Sally

Sally, I use a Peggy's stitch eraser, but before I had one of those I did it the way I describe in my blog post here. http://www.embroidery-allsorts.co...

I just hate when that happens. I stitched a Christmas stocking together the other day. Made me so mad at myself. I checked it but didn't recheck it after the bobbin ran out. I got it all out and restitched it so it worked out ok. Use a good cut away on the back so it will reinforce it. Good luck.

It is frustrating, no matter how long you are doing this for you still have these things happen.

Don't worry, get creative.
Just fold the part of towel with the "wrong" design to the back, sew the edges of the folded part together to form a pocket, sew a tunnel for adding a thing like this one pictured and you will have a wonderful matching item for the bathroom or kitchen.

That is very clever. I did get it fixed.

So sorry - that you had that trouble - that would have been one that I kept for myself and bought another - Hehehe!

It is all sorted out now. It was a gift for my son with a design that I don't want for myself. but all is well that ends well.

Unfortunately, Alice you aren't alone in that... I've done that too, but didn't bother taking out the stitches, I just went and bought another shirt and bit the dust on it...Take a deep breath and goooo sloooowwww.LOL...

Terre, with all the embroidery I had lined up today it was more time efficient for me to take the stitches out than to leave my machine and go to the shop.

Done that - but how do you get it off? Unsewing must be one of the worst jobs ever. I find it's not so easy to unpick.

I used to use a razor, scalpel and tweezers, now I have a Peggy's stitch eraser, I would not be without it. but it still can damage the pile of the towel, it works a treat on a weave.

Take a deep breath and hang in there. We've all made these frustrating mistakes. Love this time of year but rush, rush, rush to get things done for everyone. I just can't help but love it! It'll be over all too soon.

I am really looking forward to Christmas this year, for the first time in years I am almost organised. I just need to relax and take my time and it will all be fine.

Dawn that is exactly the point, it is much quicker to not rush and get it right the first time.

I am with you in the frantic department, Alice. I had a client drop off 2 jackets yesterday & 2 mens' shirts and she wants full jacket back designs that I have yet to digitize on each, then today another client dropped off 4 sweatshirts she wants for Christmas.....where were these people 1 or 2 weeks ago????????? Oh well, business is business, right? I still have a few things for my friends I want to get done, so like your mistake, Alice, I am afraid I am going to do that on one of these for a client because I am feeling overwhelmed righ now!!!
Was the towel a big disign??

Vicky, I am expecting the same rush to start for me this week. That is why am trying to get all the Christmas stuff done today. The design was very dense, it takes about 43 minutes to stitch on my six needle machine so I am annoyed with myself, It is always better to go slow and get it right. It takes so much longer to do it again. Good luck with your Jobs. Let me know if you need a hand with any of the digitizing. I am very busy but I can squeeze in some help for good friends if need be.

I know, take a deep breath and slow & easy at the machine, right? It's so boring when you have one that is stitching out and there is nothing else to do. I usually knit, but the project I am knitting takes too much concentration, so I can't work on that either, so here I am on cute!!
