A lot of nice designs with Diddl on the project page. Is this a cartoon figure? Tell me more. I no longer have kids at home & so far no grandkids. Thanks

Diddl is a cartoon-character designed by the German artist Thomas Goletz (read the wikipedia-article about).
And Diddl -of course- has it's own website in more than 15 countries.

Greetings to you Connie, we're so glad you posted here and told us all about Diddl! Did you digitize the designs yourself? If Diddl is a copyrighted character, it may be illegal to share those designs with others, even free. I know you are being kind & want to help, but please check the copyright, we don't want you to get in trouble for just doing something nice. We would miss all your lovely projects. Marji

Thanks for the response and sharing the information. I was not familiar with the character in the US and was interested in the background/history of it. It appears that it is much like our Mickey Mouse character.

They are certainly not Dutch. I have seen them here, only as embroidery designs, never saw a cartoon. From the name I guess they must be British (or Irish maybe).

No, not British! I've never seen them before. The dog looks a bit like Gardfield's Odie though.

Well, I saw designs of them on a Dutch site. They look familiar to me, but I don't remember where else I may have seen them.

I'm thinking these might be European, because my grandchildren don't recognize them. ;)
