I made some more of the candles for gifts for my husbands sisters. This design is from Emblibrary. I stitched it on organza. You would not believe what I went through to get these done! I purchased some candles at Wal-Mart to do these gifts. Well, after I stitched the first two designs I decided to try to put one on the candle and see what it would look like. Well - the candle literally fell apart in my hand. It was like it was made of sand. I had purchased 4 of these because I needed the 6" pillar that measured 9" around for this design. I took all of them back and got my money back, and was unable to find the size candles that I needed without paying more for them than I wanted to. So, off to the Dollar Tree. They did not have them, but they did have the small flameless candle, and it is even scented. Well, the designs that I had stitched were way too big for the battery operated one - so I had to resize and stitch out more. Now I have two beautiful Family leaves and will think of something to do with them. The design has 39,480 stitches - that was before I had to resize. I reduced the size and got it down to close to 31000 so that it would fit on the candle, and I think that it did look nice. Thanks for reading the dialoque and looking. Hugs

The candles are very pretty, I have not tried doing this and probably won't but they really do make nice gifts. So glad you were able to get them finished in time for Christmas. Flowers for you and all.

Beth these are lovely - I do hope that you send a picture of them to EL - your SIL's will love them - so sorry to hear of the difficulties with the other candles - I have never heard of a candle doing that - but now you have a safe and flameless candle to always showcase your lovely work. *4U

Good job, glad you found ones at the Dollar Tree that work! I saw a lady returning some that didn't so I skipped them and found a set of 3 different sizes in a box for $5 and they work great plus have a remote so I can turn them on and off without getting off my butt, lol! Your SILs will love them!

Good buy - I made sure that all of these worked. I liked the results with the flameless, so went back and got more. I plan on doing Gingers on some for the "girls". I have never seen any with a remote. How neat.

Those candles are gorgeous. You did a great job. I bought the same candles at the Dollar Store. (this is my home away from home) I can always find what I need.
I didn't embroider on them yet, I am in the process of moving, and my machines are smiling at me waiting for a miracle to start working.
Have a Joyous Holiday season, and best wishes for a Happy & a Healthy New Year.
