Uh oh, Ruthie & Mops, I may have done a boo boo. I got to Clawton's question first, and saw Connie's offer to share the Diddl patterns, and gently reminded her in a comment about copyright designs & sharing. I've just got on here today, and haven't even been to the projects pages yet. Yipes, I hope I haven't caused any more trouble that y'all seem to be having. I would so hate to hurt Connie, and the language difference can be such a problem. Thanks, Mops, for stepping in here & helping. Sure hope Connie re-posts all her nice stuff. Flowers for both of you for helping (and you can subtract one from me for reading the posts in the wrong order!) Marji
Marji, you didn't say anything wrong, I was concerned about all the 'shouting' (as in capital letters), that was added to Connie's projects, I was worried that she would get upset about it, and I felt sure that she wasn't understanding what they wanted to know. But all is well, Connie is still here, she evidently understood what mops kindly explained to her. Have a truly beautiful day, hugs and flowers to you.
marji, a flower for you - we are working on getting you over the 1000 mark
I was as worried as you are and send her an e-mail explaining once again the position. Being away all morning I had missed the commotion, but I told her we were all worried. I mentioned the copyright things I had read on different cd's I've bought and said everyone understood the language difficulties, so could she please post the wonderful owl etc. again and give the name of the firm who made the designs so people could buy them over the internet. Would be such a shame if she did not come back! And thanks for your flower!
Mops, it sounds like we haven't said anything that would upset Connie. It must be very difficult when English isn't a persons first language, things can become so confusing for them. So hopefully tomorrow we'll see a return of Connie's projects. Thanks so much for all your help. Another flower, you deserve it.
>>>>> continued .......... if she has permission to give those Diddlina designs to us. We are worried about Copyright and don't want either her, or us, to do the wrong thing. Please explain this in a very nice way, they might be her own digitising, or she might have permission from the digitiser, we just need to know. Thanks very much to whoever takes this on, very much appreciated.
I'll do it, Ruthie, I'm Dutch, she Dutch or rather Flemish speaking Belgian. Have to hurry now, but will do it in a couple of hours. I must say I'm worried to.
Hello everyone,
i just answer all your questions about diddl on clawton question,if you thake a look on clawtons question you have the answer, greetings from belgium
Ruthie, I did it straight away, hope to put in a translation later, DH is waiting for me..
Thanks heaps for that mops, I'm just concerned that Connie doesn't understanding about Copyright laws. When I looked at the project pages a few hours ago, things seemed to be a little heated. She has written a response to clawton's question, but still doesn't seem to grasp what we need to know. Thanks again for that mops, this language difference can be a problem sometimes, hope you can help Connie to understand, I'd hate anyone to find themselves in trouble over sharing designs. A flower for you, I'd send you more if I could, you're a gem.
I can't find any of Connie's designs just now. Could she have taken them all of? I tried to explain that copyright laws are very strict, especially in the USA, and that being allowed to sell articles with the design on it was allowed if mentioned, but sharing them electronically was not. Said I did not want to hurt her, just wanted to tell her to be very careful!!
O dear, mops, the last thing I want is to upset Connie, in fact I was trying to avoid her being upset by anyone else. There was quite a bit of 'capital letter remarks' in the comments of her diddl projects, and I was worried she would be hurt by it all. Maybe she took them off because of that, maybe she didn't understand fully and thought people were cross with her, I hope she puts them back up soon because she does some beautiful work. So sorry I involved you now mops, just that I thought she would understand things better in her own language. We really have to be so careful with copyright, and I'd hate to see anyone from this site come to grief over something they quite innocently did wrong. You enjoy the rest of your day, hopefully Connie will post some projects tomorrow, perhaps she'll let us know about those designs too. I'm off to find you and give you another flower sweetie, thanks so much for your help.
