Does the rain pour off the eaves of your house in sheets of rushing water????
Put on your swimsuit and go out and wash your hair in gorgeous new rainwater. You'll feel like a million dollars.
Don't laugh!!! That's what my girls used to do when we lived in Papua New Guinea for five years - every rainy season was waterfun time. The other six months was a drought.
AlmaG.
Please can I swap 24 hours of rain for 24 hours of sheet ice and freezing weather. I cannot get away as planned. :(
I'm in rural WA where it really doesnt rain much, but we had quite a bit of rain during the week - not flooded like Carnarvon but enough to stop the farmers harvesting wheat. We were on flood alert (due to the developing cyclone which died out) but the most rain we got was on Tuesday we got 2mm! Thats still quite a bit of rain for us.
Our water restrictions were lowered: from once per week to twice a week, before last week's rain tho.
I feel for you tho. I've seen on the news how much rain you've been getting over there :( xXx
I can't imagine living somewhere that it doesn't rain much. here in Victoria point it is unusual at any time of the year to go a couple of weeks without rain, but it is not pouring all the time like it has been lately. You must have enjoyed the bit of rain you got.
Alice
Heading up to Brissy Xmas day, Was going to go swimming with the grands.... mabey we can just have lots of outdoor showers :)
Alice, try not to get depressed over the rain as it is going to be around for the next week...I have webbed feet what about you! I would like rain to stop now. thing is we probably wished for rain too much in the past couple of years and now here it is...what I find funny is we still have water restrictions. Sally
I know Sally, I get increasing frustrated with this government. All that money they have wasted on building water infrastructure and they have just abandoned all of the projects.
