Have you considered doing a quilt with a single design embroidered in different colors? For instance, you could pick one of the fish designs and do it in reds for one square, yellows for another, followed by oranges, greens, blues and purples. It is amazing how different the same design can look with just a change in the color scheme.

Got to bottom of page sorry you want only cute embroidery designs. BUT if you want to you can go to designs by sick and they sell the same set of alphabet for little of nothing. Just a suggestion. Whatever you decide to do I'm sure it will be lovely. flowers for the friends here.

You have had some very good suggestions offered to you. You can try a simple "around the world" quilt, and then add special designs with your embroidery. My 9 year old granddaughter made one with me, but we did not add the embroideries at that time. Now we need to make another. The site has so many wonderful designs that I think that it would be hard to decide. Good luck.

If you are not making quilts just for kids, 'Cute' has some *outstanding* flower quilt designs (listed under 'quilt') as well as some great flowers & birds with flowers that would coordinate beautifully with them. I'm personally working on a 'flower' one myself. Good Luck! Marji

I've done several 'fun' quilts. One of all the disney princesses for my granddaughter, fairies for my best friend and butterflies for my daughter in law. I usually piece fabrics and then embroider on the piece. Usually looks pretty good for a beginner

I plan on making one for my grandson out of the the "bears". Just go to the tags area and look through them. If you see a "tag" such as Birds that you like, just use the ones you want. There have even been some "quilt" designs run that you could use if you haven't already. Lots of goodies, all you need is time ;)

Hello Ir2008,I am in the middle of making a single bed quilt cover for my grandson and I always pick the ones I like best for boys or girls or the occasion. Most of my designs for children are from cute. You could try to use another alphabet and put pictures with them. There are lots of flowers and borders and corners you can put together to make a centre. There are some lovely fish that would be very nice on a quilt. There are many designs out there that you could use and you could combine them and see what you come up with. I am almost ready to start embroidering on my quilt and hope to have it on the site for all to see soon. It is something different. I have picked a lot of cute designs and some others. I hope this helps. Sandra from Australia.

Do you think they really dropped it? Maybe the designer just took a break. I'd be so sorry if they did not finish it! I hope they will continue soon so you can go on with your project. Flowers while you wait. And this time I CAN give you more than one.

not very considerate to the members who pay for thier membership..they are catering to the freebies and not thinking of their memebers..

I know for certain that they did NOT "drop" the bug alphabet. As a digizer, I know that all designs should be test-sewn, and if there are problems, the design must be reworked. That can slow down production quite a bit, especially if the problem is a tricky one. Since there are FOUR sites under the same "umbrella" of Cute Embroidery, that makes four times as many designs to be working on at any given time. Add in that Veronika also is administrator to AmazingEmbroideryDesigns.com, and that takes up a lot of time. Please be patient. The bug alphabet WILL be completed.

Oops, typo. I meant DIGITIZER, not digizer. *blush* And I forgot to mention that we really have no idea how many digitizers are actually working on the sites' designs. If there are only one or two digitizers (or even four or five, since I mentioned five different locations), you would really be asking a lot of them to be able to consistantly put out new designs every day with no "misses".

I posted this because alot of people thing that we should post more projects from cute emb. files..Its hard for me because I make quilts and I need a number of designs that will go together for quilt blocks..most of their stuff wont work for me..its great for bibs and other things but not for quilts..i could use the bug alphabet because its great for a child quilt..other than that im stuck..maybe the elephants or the animals...

Perhaps you could use designs from Veronika's other sites lr - Amazing Embroidery and Adorable Applique.

ruthie by ruthie 22 Feb 2008

Forgot to say, that I haven't heard anyone say anything about using more *Cute* designs, I personally think it's fine to use designs from anywhere.

lr, if you have a membership (I can't remember if you have), the rest of the bug alpha will be completed sometime and you will be able to download them. Failing that, there are a few bugs on *Cute*, bees, ladybugs, that kind of thing, that might be suitable, or could you use a few flower designs, bugs love flowers! A lot would depend on the look you want and who you are giving it too I guess. Hope this helps, have a good day and a flower for you.
