Take a look at this site: http://www.machinembroiderysa.com... They have a huge variety of darling things, including gift bags and boxes with lace.
You sure are a busy mommy with 2 small boys. How do you find time for embroiderying and chatting with us all here.Love to have your spare time here though and designs by sick have some nice little boxs to put your thoughtful gift in. Also lost my class ring years ago. Stay stitching and hugs and flowers to all.
Thank you all for the ideas and sites. Sorry to not get back sooner. My boys 6 months old and 27 months old keep me pretty busy.
a-stitch-a-half makes the most beautiful little boxes either FSL or out of satin etc. I would highly recommend her. She currently has a sale on and you should be able to get the design for $3.
on the carol duvall show they did a beautiful bronzing technique using stencils. check it out www.diynetwork.com episode cds-1427F. It gives the box a vintage look and it looks like it is easy to do.

What a special idea!! I'm partial to the idea of a FSL trinket box, but then I'm always partial to the stuff I can't do (yet), LOL. You're one special Daughter-in-Law. But then, you're one special lady anyway, since you married the Marines. OooRah, Ma'm! Marji
Wow, what a beautiful thing to do for your Mother-In-Law, busymommy, you are so special, hope you find what you're looking for, hugs and a flower for you.
emblibrary.com also has some very cute FSL bag designs. They are called Goodie Bags: Hearts, Heart & Vines,Roses,& Love. I haven't stitched them out yet but they are on my "To Do" list. I don't remember the cost. They have some things on sale right now because of their 10yr anniv.
There is a beautiful Pfaff design for a Heart Shaped box. It is absolutely georgeous. Its in collection 406.
busymommy, Check out Designsbysick.com ,Page 3 , Floral Trinket boxes. This would be nice to put her ring in . You are a very thoughtful Daughter in law. Heres a flower for you.
Thank you for the idea. A flower for you. I will be busy just looking at the different designs for a while.
What a wonderful daughter-in-law you are! There are some FSL (free standing lace) boxes that have 4 sides. I don't recall right away what site they are on, but look on the standards, and I'm sure will find something you like.(or let me know if you don't find one and I'll try to locate it for you) ;)
Hi,
I have just made one with the bonnet girls and I'm making one now with the zodiac signs from the redwork designs here at Cute embroidery.
Just and idea!
