Hello Letvia, I have a Ped Basic but I do not have the same machine. I have a Bernette Deco 500 by Bernina, it only does the 4x4 hoop. In the ped basic program you can see which ones it will write to the card, which ones it will resize and which ones it will not. The 4x4 hoop is 100mmx100mm the ped basic will resize the design up to 110mmx110mm for the 4x4 hoop. If your machine has bigger hoops and it does the larger designs, then you will need to change the hoop size in the program. Remember that the larger the design the more memory it uses on the card. This will effect how many you will get on the card. My machine will only do the 4x4 and for this reason I want to get a bigger machine that will do the bigger designs. I have a multi hoop that I bought extra and can fit up to three designs in it to make up to 5x7 but it will not do the 5x7 design straight out. So it is all in the hoop size that is set in the program. Once you know what size hoops your machine can do then you just reset the hoop size in the program. If you need more help you can email me, It's in my profile, I am happy to help if I can. Sandra H, from Australia.
Thank you very much Sandra. My machine also does only 4x4. My husband just gave me a bigger hoop to make bigger designs but then we figured out that my machine doesn't make 5x7, I just can use the hoop to embroider many 4x4 without take off the hoop. Is not that bad but I have many designs bigger than 4x4 and I think I have to resize them to embroider with my machine. You were very helpful, thanks again. And of course, flower for you.
Hi Letvia im not fam with your machine but i had a 500D wont do bigger them 4x4 u can d/l bigger designs but you will have to resize them so your machine can do them. I upgraded to 1500D for that reason. Click on 100x100 i think it is when you open PE design to view them to write to your card the ones your machine will take you can see the ones that are too big will have a red X through them this is what i found anyway hope this helps
Thank you nurselilly. My machine just works with 4x4 designs. I just figure out few days ago; and it was a Christmas gift form my husband, so is brand new and I think I have to wait few years to upgrade it, jajaja maybe if I try to resize the designs, don't know, have to try.7Thanks again and a Flower for you.
I don't have a Brother - but have a Baby Lock - they are kin of some sort - I know that when I load my designs on my card - if I don't have the right hoop marked when doing so - it will not read the design to the card. Does that make sense? I hope that a Brother user comes along soon to help you. Not really a user - owner. Hehehe! Here is a flower for each of you - I want your bouquets to grow and grow. Thanks, Shirlene R.
Thank you shirlener, my bouquet is going bigger and bigger, thanks a flower for you.
Hi Letvia, I'm not really familiar with Brother, but I know some of their machines will only stitch designs up to 4x4, so maybe this has something to do with it. There are others here who use Brother, so hang in there, someone should come along soon who knows more than jrob and me. These flowers are floating around everywhere, so hugs and another flower for you, have a terrific day.
Thank you ruthie, you helped me already in another question you gave the link for a program to resize designs, I downloaded already, and will try it, to see if I can resize the designs. Thanks a a flower for you too.
