I can't believe the prices of felt being quoted!!!!
I pay average $1.49 a piece of craft felt A4 size.
Felt by the metre is cheaper but softer and I choose to pay more to get the stiffer felt for backing door names, luggage labels, etc.

I normally buy felt by the yard, but since you at in the States, why don't you go to JoAnn's.com and buy from there. I know that I had to pick up some colors that I don't use often there, and the were from .29/cents to .79/cents. They are having a sale now. check out the webiste.
I like to buy by the yard on the bolts of fabric and cut my own sizes. Like may of the other cuties sign up for fabric store news/sales flyers and clip those coupons for more savings.
.14 cents at Jo Anne's in San Antonio. Let me know even w/shipping this is a good deal. Lots of colors available(as of Wed) ---heystella@juno.com
I have found lots and lots of felt, all colors, at the thrift store. I have a big grocery bag full now. Yellow, 2 or 3 shades of green 2 shades of red blue and purple. Of course, I did not find it all at the same time, but check there before you purchase. One piece I have (yellow) is about a yard square. Have washed in cold water on gentle cycle, and hung outside to dry. Looks good as new!
We've bought a lot of felt squares at JoAnn's. I think we paid 25-30 cents. Often they have coupons too. Don in TX
I got some at Hobby Lobby 4 for a dollar and they were 30% off. Hancocks has some, Joanne's.
hey Iva, felt does come in different prices depending on the thickness and whether it has prints. Hobby Lobby sells solid for .25 each. (which is what I use) Also WalMart carries them in packages. Here is the website store for Hobby Lobby. I don't know how much shipping and handling is, but I'm sure it shouldn't be much. Don't remember how many are in the package at walmart. But here is the link. Hope this is helpful for you. Hugs Terre
Thank you, the shipping and handling has to be more then the gas (3.05 a gallon) to go there and back. Take a good hour each way.
I saw some on ebay last night...I think I used fabric lot or sewing lot for look up. There was someone selling several squares...six colors. I don 't think it is there all the time, but it was much cheaper than the stores. Also Joanne's will sell it to you by the yard if that would help you.

Hi Iva, i buy my felt squares at our dollar store in town. They are 3 for a dollar here. If you have a dollar store near by that would be a great place.

We have two different ones, and would you believe neither sell felt squares
