Stabilizer can be expensive. If you cut about 1and 1/2 your needed length you can use it 2 times.[ 5x7, cut 8x20 for 2 designs] Use one end then unhoop and use the other end.

Another thing that I do if I am making multiple items with same design, or close to same size is to put a scrap piece of the stabalizer over the previous area, and then stay stitch around it. This has worked well if I can think ahead!

Thanks dlmds, good idea. I cut mine, in long strips (1 metre or more), and do hoop widths for each hoop I have, then just roll the excess on an empty paper towel roll, fasten with pins, clips, pegs whatever to keep it out of the way. Makes your stabiliser go a l-o-n-g way. Plus you don't have to cut stabiliser for every project! Just make sure that you allow enough room around your machine for this. Hugs and flowers.
