I don't know how many of you have done any speciality bobbin work, but this was my first try at it. This was done with the speciality bobbin case that I had purchased, and special floss and heavier threads. In doing this type of bobbin work it is done from the back side and you really don't know what it will look like until you turn it over. Too, the bobbin thread is not run throuh the normal way. This was done on silk dupioni - I did not choose that color. LOL I found this while I was trying to straighten my room up some, and think that I will finally get this made into the small bag that was intended. There are different types of threads in this, a little embroidery, and the majority done with the stitches built into my Designer SE. Fun to do, but I think I will need to take a refresher class.

Lovely. You did an awesome job here. I've always wanted to give it a try, but was afraid of messing up the machine. hehehe...

I know what you mean - that is why you have a separate bobbin case for this. That way you don't do any adjusting to your machines bobbin case.

Beth, this is stunning work and the bag that you end of making will be treasured and then when you do another and another - you will bless all the girls - I am sure. *4U

HOW DO YOU GET THE PICTURE TO HAVE 2 PERSPECTIVES IN IT? Is it your photo programme. I have Canon Zoombrowser and I don't think it does this. Love Chris

Yes - I go through my microsoft digital image - like photo shop. I am trying to learn how to use it more, and am playing with this. I just learned late last night how to do the soft edges - but still can't figure out how to make my shapes differently. LOL

Well done Beth it looks great. There are so many things I haven't done with my Designer SE too. It's just that there is not enough time in the day, isn't that right?

Love and blessings Chris

Oh, you are so right - not enough time in the day. I want to take an heirloom class, but the closest one I know about is about 2 hours away - Ihave done a little of a lot, and have mastered none of them.

What machine do you have? I purchased my case from the Viking store,Here is a site to go take a look at it.

Fun to do - and just something different. I even went out and bought Christmas embroidery floss with the sparkles to do more of this - but never did get to it.
