yes the Qld floods are very bad. My heart goes out to them all.Thefarmers are in a bad way We had another 3inch here in Toowoomba yesterday ( not far from Dalby) This time last year we had no water!! How it has all turned around
Everyone there is in my thoughts and I pray they will all be safe. It is a shame to lose so much but lives can be started over with a lot of work.
When I heard the news my thought went CuTies in that zone, hope that everyone is O.K. Material things could be replaced. God bless you all!!!
I will defnitively keep her in my prayers, as I have been praying for all of the people in their area too. Here we are having a heatwave for the last three days, and as I am sitting here I am dripping with sweat, and it is so hard to see everyone so far away battling so much water. I would rather battle the heat, than be in their shoes.
My prayers goes out to her and may things start looking up soon.
Warm hugs and Gods blessings.
Marietta
I am sorry to hear this. My thoughts are with Libster2896 and family.
Many of the news in television do not really upset me- healthy mechanism not to go mad about all the bad things going on in the world.
But when I hear someone I "know" is involved, things change and I understand that these pictures are real. Real swimming snakes looking for shelter in your kitchen cabinet.
That's tough.
But as far as I know, "Aussies" are tough too and face problems the very cool way.
Best wishes to you, Libster.
Please let her know that she is in our prayers as are all of the victims of the flooding.
Of course I will add her to my prayers and all the other Cuties in Queensland affected by this terrible disaster. *'s 4 all
Oh how awful. I pray that she can overcome this tragedy and get on with her stitching again. Prayers to all the other folks there who are suffering also. God be with them all.
So sorry "Libster2896" to read that your home has been damaged in the recent floods. Just watching it now on the television - cannot believe how much water there is up there. Love and blessings to you and all the family.
My prayers for her and her family. Also for all the people who suffered in that devastation. GOD bless all!
Will keep Libster2896 in my prayers, one can't imagine the devestation they are going through. Will keep all flood victims in my thoughts.
My heart goes out to her and her family. I will for sure keep her in my prayers.
Prayers for ALL Ausses who was affected. Special prayers and hugs for Libster2896.
I have been wondering how our Aussie Cute friends were all doing - I was hoping everyone was untouched by the floods! Bless her heart - I will remember her and her family in my prayers - please let us know if you hear anything more!!* Hugs, Laura
How tragic was hoping all of our Cuties in Au would be safe. Will keep her in my prayers.
It must be heart breaking for her since she put so much into the quilts. I hope she is ok and and they haven't lost everything. Rebuilding your life can be hard. Prayers are certainly with her family.
Thank you for the update, Meganne. Please assure her there are prayers going up from all around the world. I thought some cuties may well be affected by the flood.
Tragedies are always so much worse when a family member is affected. How we grieve with and for her.
of coarse we will pray for her. If you contact her, please give her our support, love and hugs. It's so sad this happened to her.thank you for posting.
Oh how awful for her. I have seen this on the news and wondered if there were any cuties there. Wish I was near to help her.
OH! All this is very sad... Yes, we will pray for her. A hug.
I can't even imagine what a hardship this is for her & the whole populace affected by this disaster. These natural disasters are so devastating and I will definately keep her in my prayers. My Aunt & Uncle lost everything in the New Orleans disaster and it took years for them to rebuild their lives...
I wish there was more I could do for her....I know the trauma she must be experiencing.
OMG I hope they come through this ok...I would be so upset if my quilts were ruined by the floods
Have seen some TV news clips of the devastation the floods have caused in your country. Will be thinking of her during this difficult time of recovery.
Even though we live in country Sth Aus. our TV stations are Imparja and Southern Cross 7 which both cover Qld. and of course we only get Qld news. (except for ABC which is SA news) Subsequently, we are very aware of the floods and it certainly devastating. Prayers with all residents of Rocky and Emerald and others who are affected.
Meganne, thank you dear - when you speak to her - please let her know - we think of her often and have wondered where and how she is. I am so sorry to hear that she has tragically been involved in this terrible flooding in Queensland. My heart goes out to her.
HI all, yes I have been away for some time now. Those who were on the discussion boards "back then" might remember I was back to the books and with the kids growing madly, I have let some things slip away, such as cute (and lots of sewing time to boot). The quilt was the one that we all started to put together for the Ronald McDonald charity house here in Qld. It was a slow project, but I feel sad that all the efforts from those who contributed have gone to waste. Apart from some patterns and fabric, we really suffered little more than inconvenience compared to others who have had water more than halfway up their walls. What got damaged for our home was a room at the back of the garage that was used to house the stuff that hubby was cranky about and gave me somewhere to 'poke about' my business without cluttering up the house. Thanks so much for your thoughts, but if you really want to do something meaningful, try going to facebook and doing a search for cq floods adopt-a-family for school supplies. One wonderful lady has started a small idea of helping out schoolkids who have no home and parents who have no income (particularly those done over by the insurance companies) to buy books. The lady remembers the floods of two years ago where some kids went to school with one pencil and a single book. It was heartbreaking for her and the community, so she is doing this now.
Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers, I should be coming back again occassionally amongst the essays and assignments, but still a long haul ahead of me.
cheers, keep safe all, Lib.
