Glad you have a diagonsis - things are easier to treat when you know what you are up against. I found Heather's Tummy Care (www.helpforibs.com) to be very helpful - she has lots of articles and a e-mail newsletter. She also has books about IBS that have hints and foods and all kinds of interesting things.
Margie......so glad you got your diagnosis so you can move on from here. I have had this illness for many years now and through trial and error have found out what my trigger foods are, but I am sure the Doc shared this info with you...the biggest trigger of all is stress. Sad, but true!! So the best thing we can do is somehow develope duck feathers so that things can roll off our backs like a duck........LOL. I think that is why I reflect so much humor in my designs, as I am relieving my stress in this way.......Good luck to you Margie, you will survive this and feel better soon, once you get things under control........Vicki
Thanks, the Doc didn't share any info with me. Seems I'm on my own here, thank heavens for the Internet. Are you on any medication at all? Doc put me on
Chosesyramine 2 x a day; but only gave me 60 days worth of powder to mix with water. Again it seems like trial and error. I noticed my stress level is down since I called Doctor's office and said I did what you wanted, you billed Social Security and now want the results, it has been 7 days, my blood pressure is going up. Within 2 hours the doctor called me. How is that standing up for your rights, I did feel awkward though.
Nasty but controllable disease. Glad you finally got the results and now can deal with it. Sorry you have to but at least you know now. Wish you the best! Suzanne
