I did read awhile back in a emb. magazine that you could but has to be really thin. Wasn't interested in it at the time. Was afarid would wreck machine cause i was a new new newbie. Hugs and flowers

I saw a project made in balsa wood and was beautiful, I am not sure but I think that the needle should be the same that you use for jeans. I guess!!! :-) Flower

Yes, you can,just buy the thinist you can find. I put stabilizer in my hoop, placed the piece of balsa wood in the hoop and then put clear stabilzer on top and hooped the stabilizers. I did Grandma's Treasures for a keepsake box I have of all the things my Grandchildren make for me.
