amaizing! i love it! this is exactly what my cat is doing when the machine is off! and trying to sit next to it when it is on - i do not allow for safty reasons. =) thank you!
Thank you "sew" much, this is a really cute design. Our cat doesn't like the sound the machine makes so she stays away from the sewing room when I'm working, but LOVES to hide out in there when no one is in there.
LOL, I have one that sits on a shelf while I am stitching and one that sits on the machine and get bounced around like a bobblehead......
too cute and all will be good until the tail gets too close to the needle!
One of mine either sits on the window sill or on a pile of fabric (of his own making!) and watches the machine moving.
How funny.......yes, Sammi likes to make nests out of my yarn & fabrics........he must have some kind of issues..LOL!
I love this design. My cat too loves the sewing machine. What is this crazy relationship LOL
I don't have a clue...mine looks like a bobble head while the arm of the embroidery unit is punching at him and he sleeps during all the abuse....unbelievable!
I love it. My cat also loves my machine. I have to get the water bottle to keep her from batting the needle while its sewing! I don't have to spray her, just let her see it.
This makes me miss my cat. Yours sounds like such a delight. I like your design
This is just toooo cute. My cat tries to lay on top of my machine. He is bigger then the machine. lol
Sammi tries to ride the hoop as it is moving..LOL! That is what inspired this design......
Ha, ha, he or she is so cute, I can actualy see it in real life. Thanks so much
I wonder if you keep all your friends and family smiling like you us :-) Thank you - I love it.
Thanks so much! My guys do this, too, to say nothing of Lucy trying to catch the needle while it's sewing. Needless to say, I don't babysit the machine, I babysit the dagnab cats! I can't close the door to my sewing room, and probably wouldn't anyway, they keep me such company. Hugs, Marji
I have a suggestion for others with PED Basic for pes files. My card will not read it if it is in capital letters. Maybe that is your problem. I change all my PES files to .pes and my card can recognize them. I hope that works for you because it is an easy fix. Jan
What an adorable design--and the story behind it is even better! I will remember it and chuckle when I stitch this out, and every time I look at it. You do such a wonderful job, it makes me wish I could get into digitizing, too.
We had cats while out kids were at home, but we travel too much now we're retired. I miss all the crazy/endearing things they do, and all that pets add to our lives. (I told my husband that when he's gone, I'm moving in at least seven of the furry critters!)
I used to keep my students entertained with stories of our cats and kittens, then I'd bring the cats in for the kids to meet at the end of the year. Good times and fun memories for both the kids and me.
Thank you so very much for sharing both your beautiful designs and the wonderful story about your cat! It made my day!
Oh yes - cats behave that and other ways. Thank you - it
is so cute! I am very sad and worried about my cat. He
had to spend the whole week in animal hospital. Tomorrow
morning we can bring him back home but he still needs
medical treatment - antibiotics and so. Still he has
blood and inflamation particles in his urine. He is only
5 years old and was such a strong beautiful cat and got
sick so suddenly. We had to bring him into animal hospital at midnight as an emergency. I also guess
this will be very, very expensive.
But what is this in comparision with the terrible
things going on in Japan and before (or still) in
New Zealand. We should pray for these poor people
Maria
We pray for all God's people and even his furry creatures....I hope your kitty is well very soon!!!!!!
I'm not a cat lover, but I really like this! I can just imagine the playing it's doing!
I also happen to be allergic to them and they so do like me!
Thanks.
cute, I have a friend whos cat keeps trying to lay behind her machine when she sews!
Ahh... this is the second design for my "cat" friends :-) Thank you!
Why will my PED Basic PES not pick up any sewing data from your designs? I love ALL of your designs, but I cannot get ANY of them to come through. Can someone please HELP!!!!!
I feel so bad for you....I don't have a clue how to help you, I know nothing about PED Basic....I hope someone can come through for you!!!!!!
I love ALL of your designs especially your cat designs. As a cat lover and cat mom, I see one of my animals in EVERY design you create. I crashed my computer in PED Basic about a week ago, and every one of your designs crashed with it. I have tried AGAIN to download them numerous times as well as your new one here. NONE of them will download at all. I am SO disappointed. If anyone has any idea why (my husband who is a computer close-to-guru can't figure out the problem), PLEASE tell me/him what to do to recover/reclaim those wonderful creations.
PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE
Have you tried asking someone who specializes in recovering data from crashed computers? It could be something really simple that was overlooked, or you might have to take it in for them to work on. Our hard drive crashed and a discount computer repair shop recovered ALL of our information, and fixed the problem, for a very reasonable amount.
Good luck!

What a great, hysterical story! Vicki, you surely do make me laugh!!!! I'm glad that the holidays are over just to see your fun designs again. Thanks for another great one.
Marion
You're welcome, Marion.......I too am glad to be getting back to creating. My machine is in the shop now, so I can get back to my knitting too........hugs
I too have a cat that just has to be around when my machine is running! I thought my cat was odd.
Regards, Bonnie
I think they just like to try to disrupt us giving so much attention to something other than them.....
This is just too funny; I'd need to visit and see your kitty riding the machine, if I lived nearby. Thanks for sharing.
*4u!
What is it about Cats and Sewing Machines????? My little siamese girl LOVES to hang out with me and stick hew paws in the way! Thanks Vicks for this great design!
Thank goodness, Jan, I just have the one with the fasination, I can't imagine the 6 of them getting in the way.......YIKES!
They can really mess up a design when they are sleeping behind the machine!
i love it! i love cats so this one will be added to my collection. thank you1
You must have one tough hoop. If mine bumped into a cat it would throw the alignment all out of whack. Love the design. Now if I could cure my addiction and get off the computer, I could do a lot of stitchin' My 3 cats aren't allowed near my machine, but I don't mind one in a lap while I'm watching the machine do its thing. Thanks.
Yes, Sammi is darn lucky it is a strong machine with a huge embroidery field.. it actually pushes him off the end of the embroidery module when it moves to the far side towards him. He just waits for it to move back and he get back up on the module when it moves back over to another area....
Oh, goody, another funny cat design. I swear these are my favorite designs and I don't have a cat. Want but can't have. :-(
How do you come up with these ideas? Real life , I guess!!!Hope he doesn't try to grab the needle or you will have a stitched cat.
Thanks, Kay, and Sammi was my inspiration on this one....he's the hoop rider....his whole life is one big game!! I get alot of ideas from the kitties and how they act around here....
You made my day. I needed a good laugh. Thanks. Your designs have a lot of comedy. Keep up the "funny" work, and a Happy New Year.
Sukiray
Could this the digitized with the second arm over the right side of the machine? It looks like the cat has 2 right arms and paws. Otherwise, adorable!!!! Thanks.
Not suppose to really look like a real cat, just whimsical.......didn't occur to me when I drew it up, oh well, like it or leave it........
Vicki, You are hilarious. I don't know how you do it but I can't help but laugh at your designs. Cats can be so funny and you remind me of that with each new design. Thank you for another great one! martyb
Thanks, Marty, it's funny what I let them get away with now that I am older....when I was in my 20's & 30's everything that annoyed me, I now find funny...LOL
