Like o2kar I to am going on holiday from England to Australia Sydney and Perth and the North Island of New Zealand. Where are the Cuties and the good fabric shops etc you talk about? Love to hear

Hamilton, Rotorua, Whitianga, Warkworth, Paihia and Auckland. Did the rest on a prvious visit

I moved away from Auckland last Christmas however Global Fabrics in Auckland City had heaps, it's not exactly a discount fabric store, but has merino, linens, and lots of quality fabrics at good prices.
The Janome store I used to go to was in Onehunga in Auckland, they had lots of New Zealand prints along with quilting fabrics. There will be heaps more but they are the ones I used to go to.
Hamilton I believe has some fabric stores (still trying to get there to have a good look around).
I haven't been Rotorua or Whitianga way for years now!

I found a fabric shop in Otorohanga--North Island--got some New Zealand designs.

46645Lucky you - DH and I have talked a lot about taking a trip. We nearly moved there about 40 years ago. He was in a field of work that they wanted down there at that time. Wonder what I would be doing if we had moved there? Would I have that delightful Aussie accent? LOL
