I wish you the best Lib in this awful time, and am glad to see you back here.
Flooding is an ordeal and you will be glad when all the clean up is done. We have helped a few people who have been flooded and it isn't pleasant to clean up. Will continue to have you in my prayers as you continue to recover from this disaster.
Hi Lib,
Glad to read that you are o.k. It must be just so heartbreaking to go through something like this. I've been watching it every day on the television and just cannot believe the amount of water that Queensland has been deluged with. Sorry about having to go back to work! Love and blessings Chris
good to read you are okay!! sorry for the damage hope things and life are realy back to normal soon.hugs G.
Sorry for the loss, and damage you've had to endure but so glad that things are getting back to normal even if it does mean work, what a bummer that can be. Hugs, Karen
Glad to hear your doing ok and that your life is getting back to normal. You have my continued prayers. *'s for all.
Sorry for any damage that did occur!! I wondered and worried about our Aussie friends here - hope your weather calms down soon!!*Laura
We have been seeing some pictures on the TV of the flooding and I would be devastated if I lost it all like that. Best wishes to you and everyone suffering all kinds of disasters all over the world!
Glad you are alright and things weren't worse than they were. Welcome back. Judy
I have been praying for you and all with the flooding. I am glad that life is normalizing again.
So glad to hear the damage was minimal, but still, it must have been heartbreaking going through your stash.
Our back yard flooded some years ago and I didn't realise at the time that the water had got inside my box of linens I had stored in the outside shed. I was beside myself when I discovered the mouldy mess several months later.
We copped water damage here at Penrith a few weeks ago during the storms. They were so violent the water got up under the roof and ran down inside all the windows in my sewing room! I was at the new house when it happened and I came home to a sodden mess. A whole heap of packed boxes and bags got saturated, stabilisers, projects, new towels and stuff put aside for goodwill etc. It was so lucky that we had actually moved most of the furniture, to the new house, just the day before! It was even more lucky that Ray had decided to take his Mum to stay with her GD for a couple of days. She would have panicked uncontrollably had she been in the house on her own when it happened, she panics at the first sign of any storm, let alone having the rain coming inside the house with all the windows CLOSED!!!
I never mentioned it at the time as it seemed so trivial compared to the Queenslander's problems, but still I couldn't face the mess and Ray cleaned most of it up for me. I was so relieved none of my machines got water in them and two bulk lots of WSS were at the TOP of their carton so were intact. Not so some FSL designs I had left on my sewing table..... what a gooey mess they were. LOL!!!
Anyway, having even this minor experience made me more aware of how the flood victims must be feeling.
I haven't heard from my brother, just hope his house is still standing.
Hugs n love, Meganne
All I can say is Wow and glad your best stuff was already moved and MIL was not at the house. Best of luck with the new house.
So pleased to hear you are OK, Hope cleanup goes well for you. Helen
