Well - that would be a great start, wouldn't it? But, what about that wasted space? LOL - I would love to have the room for that one one end of my dream sewing room.
I think I would like the space - more than anything - but one day - I would like to have a room that is really professionally organized and put together by someone that knows what they are doing. Hehehe!
I think it looks so clean and organised. I had to make a tabloid some time ago with the text: "A clean desk is a sign of a sick mind". I loved that text because my desk is always a mess, but that's the only way I can find things. If i clean up: I clean up and cannot find a thing anymore. well, shame on me LOL
well it looks nice on the picture but the desk looks very small( and clean)
HAHA the first Picture is just way to tidy for me..
I have a very organised mess lol :-)
I also have stashes in so many places to lol
My dinning room is fast turning into my room.
I have my pc, my 3 machines, my sideboard with all my threads, my tv and a sofa..
then I have all my material stashed in my loft room,
my towels and my garments up there to..
and thats just my embroidery bits..
I also do vinyl designing so I have my presses and cutters in my garage lol..
I see it has my creative mind spreading its wings lol..
Big hugs from London

OK, for all of you who saw Pauline's new machine photo and thought how tidy her sewing room looked.....
Here is the hidden truth!
Check out the amazing space I have to work in. hahahahahahahaha!!!
Maybe I'll take some photo's of my new sewing area next week.
I love it . If I had twice the space , it would still wind up looking like this. It looks normal to me .
Two machines at the back are Polly's babies, the one in front is my pride and joy. :-)
OK - so what is wrong with this picture? I love this area - I would be able to do so much in this space - ok - ok - so some organization occasionally would help - but really this is great space and a lovely well used room.
Yes, I love going to Pauline's. We never get much work done but we lock ourselves away and enjoy our time, with much laughter and silliness and lots of brainstorming. The end result is lots of great new ideas for projects that EVENTUALLY we do get finished.
And of course Polly is way ahead of me in the stash department so choosing the fabric for things to make is like going to the haberdashery.
I just love the atmosphere in Polly's sewing room.
HNR, M
It looks great but I would not have the room for it as we now live in a fairly small house.
Oops, forgot - what about the knitting and crochet yarns????????????
Do they really think that is ALL we have in a Craft room? I have probably more fabric and sewing threads than some Fabric Stores. Then what of all the books (some 40-50 from Martingale?). All the quilting, knitting, crafting magazines from the last 15 years etc etc. Would have to have a room the size of a HALL plus the shelving unit toimes 20!!!!
Oh, wow, this is something! I'd love one - but, as my Mom would say, "You can't have everything!" My "so called craftroom" is also the home to other family member's junk besides my crafts. But, I am so lucky to have what I do have and the space that I do have - that I look at something like this and think "oh, how nice" and then my mind turns to something else (cause I can hear my Mom whispering in my ear, "you can't have everything!)!!
Looks good. If only we all had the space. I have an old 6 drawer dresser that a friend was going to throw out. I put it on casters and bought an old fold up table, took the legs off and put the table on top of the dresser. Makes a great cutting table. I took the legs from the fold up table and went to Home Depot and bought a damaged counter top, put the legs on and put two filing cabinets at the end for extra support. Keep all my patterns in the filing cabinets and use the counter top for my machines. Has worked great for me for the last 25 years. I was lucky enough to have a friend make me a bench seat with a hinge on the seat. When you lift up the seat it has storage in it for all my serger threads. I also put a shelf on the bottom of the seat that holds my machine parts. Put casters on the seat as well. I love casters.
Jerri, it sounds as if you are very creative and that you have found some very good uses and spaces for all you things - super job. *4U
I love it! It wouldn't be too hard to make it yourself with a bookshelf each end & put on a top. It would be a lot cheaper. Great inspiration though
I hope you go for it and then show us how - it is great inspiration. *4U
I have not seen your face before - perhaps you have just added a new avaitar - good to see you.
I want one, and the unit behind her and a couple more of them. I like things to be organized but have no room or talent for that. We are very messy people.
One time another teacher left a sign on my classroom door - it said "Creativity is not a Pretty Site" I loved it, but it is sooo True. Do you know of any truly creative people who are neat?
that should be digitized, I'm sure a lot of us would love to put it on in our craftrooms (or somwhere)or know someone to make it for.
I would like them and the room for them - not sure I could manage to organize things in them - like they do - so I must fit in this other category of creativity. Hehehe!
CUTE! I would need at least 3 to start with...LOL ;D *2U
Looks good, but way toooooooooooooo small for me, my cutting table is 2.00 x 4.5 metres, with an extention to go to 2.5 x 4.5, I also have a grid pattern on the top, great for wedding veils, etc. Lucky me I have a sewing room 6.00 x 7.00 metres, still too small.
Margaret, you are lucky - wished we could see it. Our rooms are always too small - no matter the size. *4U
I would not even have room for half of the table. As is I only use half of my dinning room table now. You see I have NO space to have my own room until my son purchases his first home.( Which I am hoping is very soon, we go house hunting again on the 15 and 16. I have learned to be so compact that I won't know what to do with more room. But I can dream!!!!!!!!!!!
Cindy B.
Oh Cindy, I just bet you will be able to branch out - when the time comes. Hehehe!
Its great, but where would I put the wall to wall material I already have??? LOL, Hugs, Judy
Judy, it sounds like you don't need this - you if you have wall to wall material. What a blessing.
I'm still jealous of those that have a room all to crafting. All you have to do is shut the door and the creative clutter is out of sight. lol
No my creative clutter overflows every where and my "main" creative room doesn't even have a door. It is the second living area upstairs. hehe
No I have not seen this. I have to say I dont like it, sorry and it is expensive. I am in the middle of a huge clear out and tidy up. I seem to do OK with a number of plastic crates under the work table with all sorts stacked neatly. How long it will stay like this? well who knows. Would you like one of these storeage units?
I am not sure Carolyn - I thought it was very impressive - but big (it wouldn't fit in my room, now) - I tend to do better with things that don't cost so much, too. Hehehe! I would love a room - that was custom made - more than anything, however. *4u
YA! This would fit in my roon and I need two more corner shelves to go with it only I dont like the counter top needs to be lighter or just plain but if it was free I would not cmplain But its great and would have room to move around and put my machines in the room OK im getting ahead of my self but I do like it alot
perhaps you could get it in a lighter color - I thought of that as well. I can't wait to see your room finished up. *4U
Oh My! Now what would I EVER do with all that counter and storage space?!!! hee hee hee It looks like crafting/sewing heaven! *'s for all.
If you are like the rest of us - fill it up and use it all the time - and it does look like crafting/sewing heaven. Hehehe!
what do you think?
nice but tooooooo small for me. Where would i put all my must haves that i already have on my 2.5 x 1.5mtr table... of which i only use one end mostly. Now Meg is coming over today and i will have to make a space for her!!!!!!
Hehehe, maybe you could get someone to make you something similar on the ends of your table - so you had all that extra space to put things. Hehehe! Enjoy your time with Dear Meg.
It's Waaaaaaaaay too small, where's the telly and the air-con, and where's the fridge and microwave??? Am I supposed to walk to the kitchen to make a cuppa, or am I supposed to get healthy now and drink bottled water???
How am I supposed to fit 8 machines on that?
And what about all my dolls, and my kiln and paints and computer, and laces and ribbons and ...............
this would be just part of the room - you would still have to have your sewing and embroidery machines where they live - Hehehe!
Well, you've got my interest, it looks great. I couldn't fit this unfortunately now in my new room. Never mind it looks great. Love Chris
Yep, I just couldn't get the website and the picture up - as quickly as you!!!! Hehehe!
I edited my first post Shirlene - cause as you said I was quick to reply! Love Chris
