What is this "one thing at a time" heresy? It's called "multi-tasking" and it is supposedly what women do best. I know that I have been doing more of it lately to prepare for when the twins get here. Heaven knows I will need the skills then! =]
raels, I can't imagine having only one project going at a time, I get to bored. But there should be a limit to the number I just haven't found it yet. Flowers all around.
I looked at all the new quilt pictures, Raelene, and I love them. I'm sure the grands will love theirs, are you doing Endangered Species for yourself (I hope, with all that lovely work)? I know what it's like, just one more (stitch, design, quilt block) whatever, then it's 2AM somehow! LOL! Have another cuppa, I'm sure you can stay awake....Hugs, Marji
Shame on you Raels! I'd never stay up to do some more stitching, haha! When I did hand embroidery there was a saying - "an embroiderer will stay up all night just to do one more stitch"!!! and I think it applies to machine embroiderers too. As for having more than one project on the go at once, I do all crafts and definitely wouldn't know what it was like to do only one thing, - but I can tell you this - my studio would be a whole lot tidier!!! Flowers and hugs.
Oh, Ruthie, the very idea of a tidy sewing studio makes me light-headed! People used to bug me at work about my messy desk, so I put up a sign: "A clean desk is a sign of an empty mind" LOL. Flowers & hugs for you as well. Marji
Hey Marji, I didn't say it would be tidy - just tidier, haha!!! I definitely agree with you about the empty desk saying - that's my excuse anyway! Love, hugs and flowers.
Don't we all know how you feel. I really do try to do one project at a time, but I am so eager to get them all done that I just have to see what they look like - I must have about 3-4 quilts started, and now am doing Easter baskets - and this one is taking me ALL DAY. I am getting tired of it- probably won't do it again, but will have to, I have 2 grandsons! Beautiful designs you are doing by the way
