Thank you everyone for your kind comments! (Flowers to all of you!) My mother loved it - she doesn't say much but I could tell by the expression on her face!
This is just beautiful I'm sure your mom will love it. Floweres for everyone :o)
Absolutely lovely. How very special for her. Happy Mother's day to you too! ;)
Wonderful. This looks like it should be framed. It is so pretty.
Very pretty and if your mother is like me, she will adore it. I would. A flower for you.
So cute! Love it! Here, in Portugal, Mother's Day will occur only in the first Sunday of May. I bet your mother will be very pleased with your card and is very proud of you. Flowers for both of you.
beautifully, the mummy itself-certainly to be pleased, a flower for it
this is absolutely gorgeous! I'm sure your mom loves it. Happy mothers' day to your mom and all other moms in the world! a flower for your talent, well done!
Absolutely stunning Dianne, top marks. I do pergamano so know how long it takes - ages, and don't your hands hurt afterwards! I haven't combined it with embroidery though - yet! Thanks for the info on where to find the design too. A very big well done to you, flowers and hugs.
Oops, lost you - where did you get this lovely designs from?
dianned, thank you - this is fabulous - what great workmanship - I wished that I could sit by your side and learn how to do this. I do hope that your mother enjoys this and please tell her Happy Mother's Day from me and the "CUTE" community. Hehehe! *4U
how wonder, love the flowers, was this a design for cards? flowers for all.
Your card is a work of art, I'm sure your Mom will love it! Thanks also for telling us where the design came from, gonna check it out. Happy Mothering Sunday to you, as well! Marji
sweet any mother would be happy to receive this card you have done well. * for you
It certaily is beautiful! I love embroidered cards, but have never tried. It certainly takes a long time with the embossing doesn't it. Your mother will love it.
This is georgeous - and how precious to give to your mother. I have purchased a couple card stock designs, but have lacked the courage to try, but now I see it framed your embroidery - but this is just beautiful.
Thank you. The mount actually took way longer to do than the embroidery! You can't really see the detail fully in the photo, the raised embossing doesn't show up, and all the little holes in the lacework had to be pierced, by hand, one at a time. (Yes there are quite a few mistakes, mostly holes in the wrong places, but I don't think my mother will mind - or notice!) I love the embroidery design, I got it as a freebie but I've traced the site it came from - Patti's Creative Studio http://www.pattistudio.com/ and she has beautiful designs at quite reasonable prtices so in think I will treat myself!
Oh, I see you answered that quesiton - I should have read all the posts, first. Thank you. Patti does wonderful flowers and frames, doesn't she?
