I am looking for a hankie design that may stitch around the whole hankie. I need it for a bride. Is there anything out there like that ? I do have a lg hoop. Thanks so much.

It's easy to digitise a scallopped edge, but you'll have to cut it the way gerryb described. They would all be exactly the same though.
These scallops are 25 mm wide and 7.5 mm deep, could any size.

That looks exactly like what I need. I don't know how to get a stitch from my sewing machine into the software !! I know I have scallop stitches in the machine. Midge

I digitised this in Embird as I have yet to find out how to do it in 5D. If you'd like to have this one, send me a PM with your email address and the format you want - I thought it would be vp3 as you have a 360x350 hoop, which I think is the Diamond's.

I tried sending you a pm but I think I did it wrong. I will try again. Thanks

Oh Mops this looks great. Would you be able to add this to DBC by any chance? I can't seem to work it out just by doing the scallop edge & getting it to match up.

I have a couple of weddings coming up too & I'd love to make some too.

Send me a Private Message with your email address and I'll send it. Mind you, it's for the majestic hoops (360 x 350) for Pfaff or Husqarna machines which few peolple have so I don't think it makes sense to upload it in DBC.

You said you just wanted scallops around the edge. Does your machine do that? Many do. Check that out. You stitch, then run a line of fray check, then cut the fabric away..tada, a scalloped edge.

I did a bridal hankie for a very tailored girl, not a girly girl. I worked up 8 or 10 choices and she choice this one. It is in my software. i could do one for you. Kay

This is a very tailored girl also. I wanted a scalloped edge around the whole hankie. about ll in sq. Then she wants names of her grandmothers etc put on a corner. I am looking for an outline of scallops or something simple for the edge. Thank you for answering but she doesn't want her initials on it.

I think you'd be lucky to find the exact design size for the hankies you have. It might be easier to find one border for one side and move it around with the editing functions of your machine, assuming you have some.

Your right. I may have to design it myself. I don't have the hankies. I was going to stitch the design on linen or a nice wt cotton.

Midge, you know the sites I have. Maybe someone can give you something different. Good luck!

Are you looking for a large border that is already in a square that will work on an edge? How big are looking for?

Klace might have something for you

I looked around on this site. they have beautiful designs! but not what I am thinking. I could put it in a sq myself if I have to. I have a 360 x 350 hoop, so I can go rather lg. I was looking for a plainer edge with maybe one corner lace with a name. To buy the linen hankies already made is about $20 each. I thought if I make them it would be cheaper and have a better product. The bride wants 10 or so.

There are three pages of Battenberg Lace (FSL)

They do have a set of scalloped edges that might work. It is lace border set 3.
I may get that set and design it myself. Thanks

Not sure if there is an actual design just for a certain size hankie, but you might look in the continuous designs, like borders and such. Let me see what I can come up with. I'm sure there are others here who might have a better answer. :)

thank you but none of these seemed to be what I need. I would like to make the hankies, maybe of linen and put an edge around them, maybe scalloped. Then a name in the corner. Thanks
