Girls - I need your help. Can anyone give me ideas to do for my daughters for Easter besides the usual T-towels? I wanted something special that they could keep.

dlonna, why don't you embroidery them a lovely lace doily? I believe that they would love that and could use it more than just at Easter, unless it had an Easter theme. A flower for you.

I would suggest a simple purse to make an outfit special especially with embroidery designs. There are patterns and you could make up your own. Also if they read several sites have bookcovers. If you sew a lot those too could be made up on your own. Good luck!

Are they readers ? There are some pretty bookmarks out there ( religious & regular ) (Add a good book. )Also have you thought about a Set of Coasters they always come in handy. Like Freida said designsbysick have all of these & if your lucky you may hit Happy Hour and get the set for $ 2.00 ( twice a day . ) Flowers for all of you.

Cute little baskets would be fun - made in the hoop - of coarse - they are generally called wedding baskets or nut cups. *'s 4 all

I am trying something in the hoop - everything i have touched this weekend has had so many stitches, and then some extra work. Oh well - we all learn. *2U2

well, some times those little designs do have alot of stitches in them - but they turn out so lovely - do you have email - I could send you some picturs of things - that I have done in the past - it might help. Shirlene

What ages are they? My 5 and 7 year old granddaughters already think their too old for a lot of these childish looks. They like the funky looks. What is next "Hannah Momtana"?

My girls are adults - and have presented me with 2 grandsons, and 2 granddaughters. The grandkids think they are too old for baskets, but they like the little surprises they get each year. I try to do something different each year, and it is starting to get a little harder.

how about a shirt for the girls, one with two boys on it on the upper left side , with your grandson's name over
them. and the other sew your daughters shirt with the girls'names over two girl on the same side as you did with the boys.
This is cute if you can find stick people for the kids. Did this a few years back for my daughter.

I saw some cute little change purses. All made in the hoop. designsbysick.com has them on sale. I also saw teddybears at several places, again in the hoop. Just stuff and close. My kids love personalized bed linens. I do a lot of pillow slips with their name or something they love. My niece loves horses, another old cars. I have even put favorite items on T shirts and play clothes. Happy Stitches, Freida A
