Thanks all for your suggestions. GS loves dinosaurs, land before time, tools like his daddy. Someone told me though he would out grow those if I put on jacket. Daughter likes raggedy ann. I did find some western stuff in my designs. I also have dinosaurs, land before time, and toy story designs. Just get nervous to actually start because you can't change your mind once you get going.
Two year olds and 6 month olds grow quickly. Perhaps the 2 year old would hand down to jacket to the 6 month old, in which case I'd chose a unisex design; perhaps a cute animal.
Well we must use your designs stash - so what do you have? What do your GS & GD like? Have them look at the designs - let them pick them out - kids have so much fun doing that - let them me your inspiration to what to put on their jacket - they are the one that will be wearing it. My grand loves cats and wanted a cat sweater - so I have her look at all the cats I had and she picked out some - she didn't know I was going to make the sweater - I just told her - I wanted her to tell me which cats she likes - I put them all in one folder - then later picked out the cats that would work together and then stitched the sweater and she loved it - she was so excited to see it, too.
Years ago, and I do mean years as my son's 45 and daughter 41, my mom hand embroidered jackets for the kids. Son in middle school had his stolen! But still have my daughters. She did "wild west" things on the boy's & sorta feminine wild west on the girls. When I see jeans jackets, I just sorta think of the Levi company that started all the jeans thing!!
The designs at Oma's are very cute and the free section has several mini ones for boys.
