You're very thoughtful, Gerry! It seems we all jump from one horrifying news item to the next, all over the world. The upside (always one!) is that people all over seem to have become more considerate of others and offer help and donations so generously these days to help people recover from these traumatic events. New Orleans was the first that really seemed to bring out huge community spirit to help each other. Thanks to you and others for keeping Australia and Australians in your thoughts.
thank you gerry & marley. My 2 children are in Qld & their offices have been affected but their homes are high & dry. Not well known is the bush fires in WA, This is traditionally the bush fire season & while some partss are under water others are being ravaged by fire. This is a hard country to tame!Penny
Thanks Gerry.
As some of you know I live in outback New South Wales & we have had floods here in the last month but nowhere near like Queensland is experiencing, they are devastating. I lived in Queensland & went through the 1974 floods there & they say this 1 is on the same level or going to be worse, so I have you all in my thoughts as I know what the experience is like. It's frightening & heart breaking.
Irene
