Thanks cutiepie for answering this as I have never heard of these needles another flower to help you reach 1000
Ah, I think I finally have figured out what you mean by a double-eyed needle. If it is what I think it is, this is also called a basting needle. The thread going through the top eye will only be caught by the bobbin hook every other stitch, so it will sew an extra long stitch. They are not intended to be used for embroidery. I suppose, in theory, that you could use a thread in each eye, but the top thread would sew "sloppy" and the design would lose sharpness of detail.
If you were wanting to stitch with two different threads at the same time, I would recommend that you get some "metallics" needles (which have a longer, single eye) and just put both threads through together. This works well for shading colors.
cutiepie, you just have a couple more to go - to reach the 1000 mark. A*4U
As I answered your other question on double eyed needles. They are not the same as twin needles. I must stitch something and I'll let you know.
That is a good very good question! Me the thing insteressiert also. As I white, are double-ennoble only for Deko of passes or for seams with which one Deko of effects to obtain is. I do not dare it to try out so correctly. I believe it also a sewing foot with large opening am used. But perhaps have other more experience in the area. Are strained on further Tipps. I am not sure what you mean double eyes. I have used the double needle ( 2 needles ) to do decorative work or top titching. Will be interested to hear about these. A flower for you.
I have not embroidered with these, but as raels said, used in decorative stitches. Have any of you used the winged needle embroidery designs that are out there? I love to do heirloom projects, and have tried to incorporate embroidery with this.
I use double needle when I want a decorative design around sleeves or down front of shirt . I use the builtin designs Only the ones you can do in straight line and do not overlap
