I've searched and searched between the two letters and still can't find them. So now I'm aggravated and thinking of deleting them all because I don't have the money to spend for the whole package... I won't do it again, that's for sure.... Thanks for letting me vent!

I do not do hunts either as I rather spend the time sewing or being on Cute.

I sometimes do the hunts but only if I really want the item or have time to spare. It seems like some of these comments are kind of bashing the designers. They are offering free designs to us in return to our time to look over the site. You can choose to do it or not. Have they 'wasted' their time in creating designs for us? I'm sure they spend far more time creating the designs than we spend in the hunt. And sometimes I enjoy looking at their designs that I wouldn't take the time to look otherwise. We take free designs all the time with hardly thank you's to the designers. Again, you choose to do the hunt or not. It's similar to these 'free' alphas - what happens when you miss a letter??

Well taken... I didn't mean for it to sound like I was bashing the designer. I wasn't. I visit that site often to see what she has new ( just don't do the hunts). I was just frustrated and venting. I apologize if it hurt anyones feelings, that wasn't my intention. But you are right about the time it takes to design and digitize. I do appreciate that. I don't do too many free alphas either because of missing one letter. Thanks for the reminder. :) Hugs, Terre

hehehe, do you see the google adds at the top when this thread is open, we have Deer hunts, mooose hunts, ranch hunts, elk hunts and bear hunts, it is very clever the way it picks up the content and targets that adds to it, but completely inappropriate for this group of people.

I did one. My sister looked in one half and I looked in the other and we stayed on the phone celebrating every found letter! That was kinda fun, but I wouldn't do it alone!!

I have never done a hunt, I don't even know which sites have them. I may be a good strategy to get people to look through the whole design category, but I hear to many frustrated people talking about them. I would not want to annoy people that much.

I only do the easy hunts now--like Cassandra's. I got too frustrated looking, and decided I didn't have and hour or two a day to spend doing this.

I gave up on hunts a long time ago. Too much time is wasted for me. I would rather be stitching. I never could find them anyway. I too would feel like you and just would want to delete them. Hugs, Mary

Keep those that you've found as you may still be able to use them.

Terre, Its not so bad if you are collecting a set of designs and you miss one, But do not want to miss an alpha I do not usually hunt as don't have the time. I did hunt one for snowman FSL designs over my holidays and amazingly found them all it did take alot of time though..Hugs Sally

I would not call you stupid. I also HATE hunts and just refuse to look. Either I get the free design and then buy other things or not. I refuse to waste time.

by cobalthearts 13 Jan 2011

I quit looking after about 1/2 hour and finding only one. I do keep any that I may find, especially if I might use it for an individual. I try to do cards for every one for BD etc. Sometimes they are perfect. I keep individual files for each letter and put any that are not complete alphabets in them. But the hunts take way to much time for me most of the time. All have fun that enjoy the hunts. ♥

This is how she gets us to buy the designs as we cant find the freebies and need the letter...
No you havenot been stupid. I have only done one hunt ages ago, found everything and decided the chance of that happening again was remote and have never repeated the process

Oh, I know how you feel! I did it once and that was enough! I "wasted" so much time and then decided I didn't want the dang things and deleted them!

Oh it's so nice to read there are more people like me who don't want to look and to look , and search for finding at last the design. It takes so much time, and later on i regret the long searching time. I better spend it here with you on this cute site.

Yes, it is frustrating. I have a problem with one that has Cardinals and Snowmen on there right now. I have found all but 1 and 2 of the other. But at least I found most of them which I thank them for and they are just gorgeous!

Hunts are great tools to get you on the site to see the different designs and aspects of the site - if you have the time to invest - I don't - I don't like them - will not do them. Hehehe!

I know the feeling! I have a folder just for this reason. The folder is name mixed fonts from hunts. Once in awhile i'll find a cute one that i like and use it. Some are very very cute and i try get my daughters ( L ) and other ones i use all the time. It's nice to have a choice of different ones to use.
It's all in fun and when i have the time i'll see what a can find and put it in the folder

I understand. I also totally understand why the sites do hunts. But some sites are too big for hunts without hints. And some sites are too slow to load each page. So it's not worth it unless you have absolutely nothing else to do in your life.

Yeah!!! I had decided in Oct that I was far too busy for hunts, so I stopped doing the only one I do. Last week, I decided to start looking, but I was at my computer for 3 and 1/2 hrs and still did not have the 13 designs I was looking fo. I will try and finish the alphabet, but no more. I have more to do with my time than get frustrated. Thanx for letting me vent also. Hugs, Judy

Thank you for saying that, I despise them too. I look thru the website if it looks good, will buy if I like their designs, and I appreciate the samples they put out to all. But the sites that make you search are a headache. And NO, don't say that you are stupid, I am sure we have all done it.

I hear you I despise them for the exact same reason!Been there done that & I don't want to do it again! Sometimes I think they do it to set us up for failure, or maybe we do it to our-selves by getting involved in the first place!

by stitchship 13 Jan 2011

:) Been there and done that. It is frustrating, and I used to do the same thing. Delete them, but don't... Keep them you might never use the ones that are missing, but you might end up using some of the ones you do have... Besides... you worked hard for them.

I have to admit I do feel like laughing because it just sounds so familiar. Have a nice day! ;)

they often make me feel ''stuuuuupid''.
If they cannot give clues I've decided nthey should keepem.
Looking thru the whole website catalog wastes too much of my cutie time.
