1. Instructions for Build a Snowman play book that you could change for your needs.
2. Britt Designs - Farm book. You can get ideas from the pictures.

You can also get applique numbers free in Designs by Cuties. I don't have the url links handy but I recently saw them near the end of the 200 pages I think.

BD gave one away, the cover is 4.67h x 5.66w inches. It was in Britt Designs Yahoo group and I don't know it it's still there. It was for the Farm Alpha.

I would say that there are no set rules on the size of the book unless you you are doing it ITH. The books have been around for children many years before there was an embroidery machine! You can sew and embroidery together and make it anyway you like and the child would love it! Most likely, the more you use your imagination, the more the child will love it! I was making children's books and clothes with designs long before I ever even thought about an embroidery machine although I did have one of the very first emb machines on the market! Have fun and use your imagination but just don't get carried away! If you do, it will take much more time that you realize! Good luck! Linda

Linda, I made mine 8" but didn't do mine ITH. The ones I do are like the quilted kind. I just embroidered what I want then sewed them together. Here is a link to pictures. This is webs.com so if you are a member already, just use your ID and P/w. If not it is free to join. Have fun with it. Hugs, Terre

hi Linda, you can find designs at Sweetheart, Cute4U, Sick, and others. It can depend on your hoop size. i've made them from 5" to 8". You might look at the patterns on Emb Library too, they may have one for you. Good Luck, San
