Thanks for all the information, its great to learn something new. Annie
That was what i wanted to learn this winter i to want to try it carolyn
As others have said - sharp scissors, fray block, good eyes or a magnifying glass, and patience. Alot of the newer cutwork designs are so much easier than the ones from years ago - you can actually get your cutting done while the design is still in the hoop and not after and you will have a satin stitch that will cover up - where you have cut, too. Have fun.
I use very sharp scissor, magnify glass to see better, and I add anti fray after i do the cutting. Always check the anti fray before you use it on your project. I love cutwork!!!!!
I use Fray Block - before I cut. It stops the cut from getting bigger or the material from fraying.
I have done quite a bit of cutwork and it is my favourite thing. Read instructions carefully. I use very sharp curved sissors and cut very near the first stitching. Good luck, I am sure you will love it.
What if there are no instructions included. I was wondering the same thing as I have never done an applique before and I would like to do the challenge sunflower.
