I only paid $275 for my 300E on ebay a little over a week ago and it came with 4 hoops
Comparison shop on ebay and see what a similar Janome 350E is running, I'm thinking a used machine will run half of new, maybe less. Seems like these machines are like cars, once you leave the shop with one, it's immediately worth less.
I would shop around. Visit any dealer and see what they have to offer. Chances are you'll get a better deal and it will probably have some type of warranty on it. I have the Janome 11000SE and love it. I traded in my Janome 9500 over a year ago for it and get first class treatment from my Janome dealer. I really think you could get a good deal on a new machine, no matter what brand. Check into it before committing to this used one. Carol
I have a Janome 10001 (upgraded from 10000) I LOVE IT! If you already have one, then you have to see if the software that you have will convert to what ever "new" machine you decide on. I am not sure how old this is, this is also something to consider & when you buy a "new one" it usually comes with software or thread or some kind of bonus too. Try it out first! Specifiacally try the giga-hoop! I hope that this is helpful. My mother always told me to buy the best that you can afford! Ask yourself this question & you won't go wrong!
Don't buy this machine as she is trying to pay for her new machine with your money, go ahead and shop with a dealer as there won't be much difference in the price and then too your machine would be under warranty. A 350E ususally sells for $1200 to $1500 and you can always dicker the price down with a dealer.
The giga hoop is 7x9. If I were to spend close to 1000 dollars I would look into buying new. There are some great deals out there now. Brother has a great pkg on ebay , brand new. Called the grand slam pkg with hoops for 989.00. Lots of extras including 6 hoops, largest being 5x12. Have a look at it even though it isn't a Janome
