I save tear away and sparingly use water soluble school or craft glue (only the clear kind though, not the purple - even though it says it dries clear, I have not had good luck with it) to paste the pieces together to fit the hoop. I touch the pasted edges with a warm iron to set and dry the glue before hooping.

I save all types of stabilizer. I piece together cutaway and tearway and barely moisten the edges of water soluable and stick them together to make bigger pieces. I had not heard about using an iron. I will have to try that next time. - Aileen

I keep my scraps, especially the WSS. It goes into a zip lock bag and can be re-used later.

The clear water soluble acraps can be ironed together to make a larger piece. Be sure to cover with waxed paper first.
