a hint on messy threads. not all threads have a place to tuck in the ends. i use strips of plastic to wrap around the thread. I use the thick plastic u use to protect table tops sticks to self.

Anotehr good idea. Some of our threads can be so unruly! No one likes to untangle thread ends.

Good hint, thanks! My Robison-Anton & Isacord have the snap bottoms for the thread, but the Floriani, which I dearly love, does not. This would be a good solution. I might check into that amazing tape, too, but the plastic I have in the closet. Thanks again, Marji

marji, the plastic - would work - I am sure - but you have to cut it in strips - the amazing tape - comes in a roll - just like tape and you just snip off what you need and it is so easy - I know that we all like to use things that are fast and easy to get to. I have used the amazing tape for a couple years now - I have alot of thread - every color in the rainbow and I think that one roll was all that I have ever bought. *4U

i have also usedthe tape but if u have large cones and the thread slips u cut the plastic the full length of reel and plastic is cheaper

My Robinson-Anton thread does not have a place for the ends either. I found a plastic tape called "Hugo's Amazing Tape". It can be used over and over, I am very happy with it. H.*.
