The quilt is going to be gorgeous. Glad you both had an enjoyable day.
I bought some of those designs in the pics just the other day and am keen to try them. It was a good variety with the cat, roses, rooster and all sorts of other things. Plus, they were on special -always a good incentive! They look great and meeting up with fellow cuties is the best fun ever :) Thanks for posting the pics.
Looks like you had great fun working together. The quilt looks as if it is going to be brilliant
How fun that must have been - can't wait to see the finished quilt.
We had a good time. I couldn't meet today, so we will meet again, next Tuesday. Linda will have more blocks ready.
How wonderful for the two of you. Isn't it great sharing a project with a friend and Cuties all seem to have so much in common.
Who SAYS women can't work together???!!! LOL!!!
I hope you spend many more productive days together.
Hugs n roses, Meganne
That's the very same set of blocks that I've been working up the courage to get started on! Is that Tearaway Stablizer? And since the outer edges have been trimmed do you still use 1/4 in. seam? I know this is Newbie questions but I don't want to start until I'm sure I know what I'm doing!
Those are good questions, because before yesterday I couldn't have answered them. She used a mesh stabilizer. The square is stitched but we found some of them weren't quite the same size. Inside the square is a "cut-off" stitching where the design stopped so you can sew them together without bulk. But I highly recommend that you use a 6" square clear ruler and square each block before you sew them together.
It's taking shape will be waiting to see the finished quilt.
Lovely pictures - thank you so much for showing us. Would love to see the finished product. Sarah.
Your quilt will be very pretty when you get it finished.
I think her quilt will be beautiful when it's finished. Loads of work that Linda has done so far. :)
Could you move in next door???? You are a wonderful friend to help another cutie.
hehehe....you can come anytime. Just hop on a plane. I'll meet you at the airport. hehehe.
Sounds like alot of fun....I hope to see a picture of the finished quilt.....how cool to have a cutie near you....thanks for the pics.
Terre how much fun for you and Linda to be stitching up a quilt together - that has to be easier than just one of you doing it - can't wait to see it finished. Keep on stitching and thanks for the photo's. What a great sewing room.
I wasn't able to view your second photo - so I copy and pasted it and I lightened it some - so here it is:
Here are the pictures. I hope they load
I am green with envy over your beautiful quilt blocks, they are gorgeous and of course I am cat mad! :-)
