It was minus 35 degrees at our house this morning....I did not venture outdoors until it had warmed up to minus 12 and it was still cold, but somewhat tolerable.

I do not think I have ever been in weather that cold! I think that -5 degrees is a record low for me but I have been in The Mountains in Tn when it was snowing and sleeting and the wind shill factor was lower than -5. I did not get warm until I was back in Georgia with a fire in the fireplace. I had Gizzy when it was that cold in Tn and he was just a tiny little Pup(Pekingese). He would only put his paws on the ground long enough to do business and he cried to be picked up. He had a a nice sweater but My son kept him tucked inside of his coat next to him. He would not even get out of the car unless you actually picked him up. He already looked like a snowball because he was white. I had a long week-end off and we snuck off to Tn. and got snowed in. Our 3 days off turned into 4 before we could get back home. I worked for the same people for almost 25 yrs and missed less than 2 weeks off sick in all of that time. I worked an extra day for my assistant manager since he was so nice to work for me. We were on straight pay and sometimes ended up working 16 hr days so the owner was flexable. If it had been necessary she would have come in for me but it was rare for her to work in the store. Her husband, before he passed away, would be in and out all of the time but he did not come in to work just shoot the breeze!

That was supposed to be wind chill. I can spell but with this arthritis, I can not type.

At that temperature I wonder how long it would take to freeze dry laundry on the clothes line? That demonstration was pretty cool.

Awesome. After my snowy experience in the UK I have decided that I like the cold better than the warmer climate

Great party trick if you live in a very cold place. I have had enough snow this winter and hope not to have anymore

Yes, that is cold. I have not seen snow since I was a child. It just looks so lovely when it first settles.
