Mine is 10 1/2 ft by 11 ft, and I've outgrown it, lol! I have a second dinning room that I use to do all my cutting and laying out of projects because I have no room for a table in my sewing room, lol! Plus I store all my fabric bins in the basement or hallway closet. If things would quit following me home, I might get it under control, lol! Oh well, such is life!

my sewing room is about 10x10 which i out grew ages ago, my hubby has a music room (saxaphone player) 12x12, so next time he's working out of town i'm going to have a mega clean up. My room into his. All that new space to fill. x

Just remember....the more room you have the more room you'll have to fill...LOL...which is a good thing.

Good for you. Plan well, using every inch. I don't think we can ever have a room big enough. The more space I have the more I try to stuff in it. I am trying to scale down my 'wamts' to be more reasonable. But 'needs' is so subjective isn't it!

Me too! I was going to swap rooms and may still do that as one room is bigger 12x12 and the double bed will still fit in the smaller room 10x10. Still thinking!

Changing rooms sounds good, I would do that too but I'm hoping to be moving soon ;D *2U

Some where in the middle size range is better. That will put your brakes on before you get out of control.
I have knitting and sewing going on and because my kids have grown up .I have taken up far too much space and need to gain control again. If I squashed up a bit, I would see that I have too much ...
Does anyone have dimensions for the average size sewing room. I would like to get in that space.
Happy planning space.

Bev, I must use the famous, "If only" statement :) "If only" stuff wouldn't follow me home, I would be just fine in my current sewing area...ROFL ;D *2U

Yes I truly understand you, I've outgrown several houses! LOL!!!!

Enjoy it, setting it all up fresh is half the fun of having it.
And after you've finished planning your new sewing area would you like to come help me plan mine? I have no idea where to start! :-))))
Hugs n love, Meganne

Meganne, LOL! I have so many ideas and projects to work on for my new area but I don't have any ideal how large it will be. I will be using my same furniture but I will be getting 2 more pieces. This will allow me to extend it from medium to max (I am already in a small room) ;D *2U
