cheers and thanx for the advice saving to flash drive is safer :)*s 4 u all
We always have to be careful - even buying from some of the sites can cause issues if we are not careful. Had a friend selling something on E-bay, and found someone falsified a sale, but he was savy enought to contact Paypal, and then learned that had he opened it up it would have likely really infected his computer. Thank you for such great advise, letvia.
Always use Paypal if you can to buy in the internet, it is easy and free to join; never use debit cards. Flower and XoXo
Very good advice, Letvia!! Everyone out there isn't nice. I'm not sure what joy people get out of causing the computers of perfect strangers to crash, this is something I have **never** understood. And some of those little files can send information back to their masters about your finances, etc. that are on your computer. I know that I have a design addiction, but I stay out of "sleazy bars" LOL LOL. I only go to a couple of sites, and if I don't know the site, I don't download anything. I like the idea, Brenda, of saving to disk first. Seems a lot safer. Safe surfing, everyone!! Marji
thanks for the warning, I check my HD and delete what I'm NOT sure about, I save to a disk first, then check it out then if I like what I see, that's when I put it on my HD. I know it means more work, but I don't what my computor to go down. I don't have alot of designs on my HD that I don't use. I also have a very large notebook of all the designs that I have saved, on the design picture I have what disk it's on. And that way the grandkids, family or friends can pick out a design from my notebook to put on the item.
thank you for the warning letvia, greetings connie
I am sure they are viruses, I am not affected because I have Mac but all the people that have microsoft, have to be CAREFUL.
