Letvia's problem with her machine just reminded me, if your dealer or the person whom you purchased your machine from didn't tell you, remember to clean your machine at least once per week or cont

jrob, thank you, this is very good info and some of us just forget to do maintainance to our machines if we were not taught right. I am a big one for taking care of my tools of the trade. A flower for you.

Yes, Jrob, good idea to remind everybody. The computerized machines are far more likely to mess up than the old sewing machines. And 'beeping', whether my computer or my sewing machine does it, scares the dickens out of me, usually. Thanks for the heads up. Marji

cont. or more often if you are sewing on terry cloth or any other fabric that leaves fibers behind. I totally break down my machine once a week and give it a good cleaning. What's the saying? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure or something like that. ;)

You are so right about this jrob. My machine was embroideriing awful, I took it apart and there were little pieces of thread caught under my bobbin I cleaned them out. Then all was fine again. H.*.

It is amasing how much lint collects under the needle in the bobbin case area. Thanks for reminding everyone. I keep forgetting that everyone does't have great dealers that remind us of those things. Mine provides free classes on the machine and any software that we buy. I'm going back for one on the 4D. We tend to use only a fraction of the softwares capability.
