it has more fabric than the front and a different lay to it. But I used both the long skirt I had that no longer fits and a measuring tape to begin pinning. My husband sacrificed his dignity and got on the floor to make sure every inch was pinned straight. And it has 3 layers of fabric, each needing to be measured cut, pinned and serged. But it is done. Now on to carefully pressing it. Again thanks

Now that was a job hemming 3 layers of fabric especially the back where its gored....glad it was you and not me. Hats off to your DH for helping out. Now get all dressed up and have some fun.

Oh I can only say "Better you than me!" I doubt that I would have gotten it done - 3 layers? I was so glad I did not have to hem the dress for GS's wedding.

Karen sound like you managed great. Yes gore skirts are on the bias which has some give to it. But so glad you were able to take care of it all. :) Hugs, Terre
