NICE! Did you use any sewing pattern or you designed it yourself? ;D *2U

SEW KEWL!!!What a great way to make your own berets look different.
Excellent work! I love them, specially the dragon one. Looks old world style. You should be very proud of your work! Thank you for sharing it with us.

What a nice selection. Are berets back in style?
Jo
Thank-you, Jo. I don't know if they are back in style, but I've seen a few about here lately.
I'm always trying to find items to add embroidery to and these seemed like a good way to go.
wooow! One is more beautiful than the other, I could not vote at all!
Thank-you. One of my difficulties is that I like so many designs, that I could make more hats than I could get rid of.lol
I love them, the designs are great and make each of the barrets unique. Great work!
What material did you use, wool or fleece, and what is the diameter of the top?
Hi mops. For some of the hats I used fleece. Others I used moleskin, suede, and faux suede. I want to make a few from linen type fabric. It never gets very cold here in southern California, and the fleece hats would be used for only a short period of time. I think wool would be wonderful to use, too. The diameter of the crown is 12 1/2" There is a small 4" piece of elastic in the back in the band to make them a bit more adjustable.
You never get a "cool" head? Such a pretty collection, all the same pattern? But with beautiful embroidery design! You have done a great job, congats! I whish I could do only one!
Thank-you jettedk. Yes, they are all from the same pattern. They have tuts on the internet on how to make a barret. It is quite easy to do. You should try it.
What a wonderful collection, you must have been busy to produce all these hats. There are some great embroidery designs. Please where is the design 2nd in on the middle row from?
Thank you, asterixsew. If I have the design that you are looking for correct(the one that looks a bit like a very full feather?) I got it from Dainty Stitches archives. http://www.daintystitches.com/vie... You get 12 designs for $1. It was design #7 from that set that I rotated a bit. She has some wonderful designs in these archives and for only $1 a set. The ones I've used stitch out beautifully without any problems.
I do believe you found just the right design for each style and these are wonderful/
Thank-you, Shirlene. I really enjoy matching fabric and design. It's a large part of the fun of machine embroidery for me.
