I hear you. They don't consider sewing to be work. Just keep reminding them, and don't feel guilty either like I tend to do. Gotta love em!
Alice,
I have often thought it would be so nice not to have to leave the home to go to work, but then, when in reality I know there would be too many intrusions to get much accomplished. "Family" members do not think they are "interruptions"!! LOL

I have to post "rules" on my door and I also have my "office hours" for that day when I cannot be disturbed. I do tend to take breaks more frequently and have to work longer hours on days he's home unfortunately.... My daughter is old enough now and helps him out quite a bit too. I homeschool her, so she often has questions and needs me, but when she does she just texts me. If I can't answer her in a text, when I get to a stopping point, I go up and help her.
I can understand what your saying but I lost my dh and I miss every minute of it now.
Understandable, I would miss mine as well, I kid about his interruptions, but they would be sorely missed, I assure you!
So sorry for your loss...
I am sorry to hear that, and I know I would miss my DH too. In fact he is heading to Tasmania for a week on Saturday and I will miss him then.
Alice
I know what you mean, Alice, when my hubby is home he acts like I'm the entertainment committee and is always coming in my room disturbing me!!!!!
You must be more assertive and only get disturbed if the house is on fire.LOL That's what my family understands. If they really need me I'm here, but if I allow them to take me from my work/fun, then it is my fault.I guess I had practice with disipline as I have five children.
Hugs Bev
I can't get anything done when the "guys" are underfoot! Good luck!
I understand! I work from home and it is a wonderful privilege. but my hubby and mother in law are both retired (she lives with us). Sometimes I feel so mean but I have to remind them - I'm working here!!!
