I can get excited very easily when I get a "sewing" or Quilting or embroidery gift...no matter how small or big, so just sit back and be the best actress you can be for the 4th and happy early birthday.
Be glad he is asking and it something you want, not another gift that takes up space in the closet or house that wasn't needed or wanted.

You're going to love your new cutting table! I have one but it's always loaded with stuff. I need to clean the sewing room again. Not today lol

I've never had a place to cut before - just the dining room table and we all know what that means! My husband says I've never seen a surface I didn't like to take over! Now all I have to do is get my desk cleaned out so he can move into mine, so I can have his. But first, I have to clear off the shelves so I have a place to put the stuff from my desk. But before that I have to organize what is on those shelves so I have a place to put my stuff from my desk, so I can clean it out so my husband will have a place to put his stuff...

Actually it is amazing he is willing to give up his desk because he gets really attached to stuff. He had the SAME cardboard box he used for HIS laundry for at least 15 years. I finally got him a good plastic laundry basket because I knew it would last him for the rest of his life since he would bond to it too. I'm pretty sure he'll keep me around too since he bonds so completely! IT was really hard on him giving up his box! Yes, he does his own laundry because his wife is busy sewing and he'd never find his clothes if he didn't! LOL - Poor guy!

He is so good to me. I've been pretty down lately, and he knows sewing is my therapy. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I wishes I wasn't gettin ssoooo olde!

Talk of getting old. In my case "olde". I tried acting 30 and was down for a month so I thought try 35. Didn't work either. I have decided I'll just pace myself and be "71 7 young at heart". Blessings on your birthday.

Whenever I see a picture like this... Both my sister and my grandma are gone now... My sister, after my grandma died, went into her little sewing room, and there, sitting on her sewing machine was her little silver thimble. My sister said, I just picked it right up and kept it in my hand and took it. I am so glad she did that. It makes me sad and happy at the same time. She kept her thimble in one of those printers drawers on her wall from that day on. I wonder where it is now.

I have a thimble collection that includes thimbles from my Aunt and my Grandmother that have both past away. Precious.
